Description

SQ-MixPad allows control of an SQ console over a wired or wireless network.
It can be used simultaneously and independently of the SQ surface, so it can provide supplementary local control as well as giving the engineer the freedom to move around and mix from different listening positions.
Three devices running SQ-MixPad can be connected and used at the same time as using the SQ surface, giving four separate points for control of all mixes.
An ‘Offline’ mode allows for SQ show files to be edited and managed without connection to a console.

SQ MixPad Reviews

Does not work with Voiceover

sjlarose on

United States

I am a blind user working with Voiceover on the Ipad. When I open this app, Voiceover just says “Mixpad” and provides no access to any controls including the user agreement. My husband and I are both skilled audio engineers and this in unacceptable for a company that boasts concern with accessibility. Please do much better, A&H. If you don’t know how, we are available to help.

Best of the wireless mixing apps

I’ve used them all. Mixing station is a great all-in-one solution. But this app is by far the best IMO. Thanks A&H

One of the better mix apps, two feature requests...

Solusfides on

United States

I really enjoy the SQ app, and wish the dLive app was this capable! Two features to round this out a little more: add soft keys to the strip assign and do DCA Spills.

Great tool but needs wider faders

MrRed7 on

United States

Love the ability to use the app remotely within our crowds. Is there a way to widen each channel so that each channel isn’t so narrow? I have fat fingers and the app isn’t intuitive for those of us with larger hands. Can we make the channels wider? Currently there are 16 channels on the screen. It would be best if we could at least have no more than 8 or a way to adjust the width of each channel.

Great tool for remote mixing

We have had to do Drive-in Church over FM radio since the state allowed us to. The SQ7 is in a trailer with the rest of the tech, but I mix from my truck listening to the FM broadcast. I can do everything I need to on the iPad.

Please update the app to work with Apple Pencil 2

Troy Brown on

The app is overall very good, but please allow the Apple Pencil to adjust faders and EQ.

Beware Apple Pencil Users

Laudable.Productions on

The new 1.4.0 version of the app does not work well with Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro. Most buttons work, but faders (channel & EQ) cannot be moved with the pencil. I hope this gets fixed so I can update the review. It’s a great app otherwise.

Great but needs update

NolTheMole on

Works great and I love mixing from iPad but I really wish it was updated to support the new screen size iPad Pro 11 inch. Don’t love having the big letterbox around the screen when the app could be filling it.

Great BUT eats ups battery

mountainrecords on

United States

This app is literally awesome. But it is SO battery-hungry😖 100% to 89% in less than 1 hour on an iPad Pro 10.5😔
