SQLed Reviews

Pretty rubbish

Ywith on

No proper autocomplete. Says stuff is ok then when try export the queries are not accepted for simple tests such as a single table with 2 columns and 4 bits of data. Would like a refund. Also no access to my actual server option which is what I thought this was.

Brilliant application, I just wish I could sent the results of my SQL query via e-mail in different formats., but like I said very very good application and good value for money!

Would recommend

This is a solid app for editing SQLite files. Modern looking ui and useful Dropbox integration. Never crash once.

Excellent app

I bought this as a safe 'sandpit' to play around with SQL with the aim of helping me to learn MySQL which is pretty similar (but not identical) to SQLite. If you have similar aims you can achieve them with this app and a bit of reading. However as a fully-fledged database management app it is capable of much more. With a bit of application you can create fully functional relational databases, including views and triggers to run on your iOS device. The app supports export and import to and from a variety of file formats including csv files and SQL DDL script and to and from a variety of locations including cloud storage providers such as Dropbox. I have migrated a small MySQL database (about a dozen tables, ten views and a handful of triggers) into this app via SQL which works great. I have also tested the app's backups and data export capabilities. I think that the reliability issues mentioned in earlier reviews must have been addressed in the current version. The interface is very well thought-out making it a quick job to create tables, sort out foreign keys, input data or run SQL commands. In short, for databases that only I need to access I would seriously consider creating them and accessing them through this app. My thanks to the developer.

Works well on the iPad's screen

Hi, I needed a SQL editor to look and add triggers in my iPhone's call history database. I chose this as it is priced well, mentioned triggers and has been updated regularly. Import and export of csv tables or files works well with Dropbox and Box.net. There is help on commands and I was able to create a new trigger by running a script. I could import my edited csv table into the database and once imported, even edit individual cells, but it would be handy to be able to select/copy/paste a range of cells. All in all worth the £2.99

Great interop, poor stability and performance

The interop between the cloud storage providers and this app are a very good. The design for setting up new tables is very good and intuitive. Aesthetically pleasing. However, the stability and performance of this app are very poor. The SQLite views crashes out without warning or explanation while trying to use it. But by far the worst is the SQL editor. This is frustrating unresponsive, virtually to the point of being unusable. The SQL editor also crashes out randomly. You will loose the queries you were writing at the time. Give it's not in the cheapest price tag I'd expect more.

Awesome for the price

I’ve downloaded a lot of these apps trying to find an app that I can play around or use on my iPad, some of them you couldn’t really save you’re working. I really didn’t want to only use Linux for database practice and this really helped. Otherwise, I can’t really use the iPad for more complicated things. Thank you.

Caution - Developer Missing

This app looked good, so I bought it. I Immediately. had a problem, so I and went to get tech support. All the links to the developer and app support result in 404 errors on a German travel website. I’d release a refund if I know who to contact.

useless

Wow, I just wanted to open a sql file and maybe edit it, but there’s no way to do that. Completely useless.

Nice work - lots of promise

iOS 11 recently killed the last SQLite database client I used, so I had to shop around for a replacement. Decided to give SQLed a try. Very pleased and pleasantly surprised. In fact, I like it better than the last one. And I am encouraged by the fact that this app is actively developed. A few enhancements that I would love to see in the future: * Display columns that auto-set width based on data width, and/or can be user-adjusted. * User-defined forms * Display BLOBs when content is image data Keep up the great work! :-)
