## Square Footage Area Calculator Description
Find out exactly how big a room is — square metres or square feet, whichever your builder, agent or overseas listing quotes. Tap the corners on the grid, set the scale once, and the floor area lands the moment the shape closes. No tape stretched across the floorboards, no guessing on an L-shaped lounge.

Most area apps only accept a width and a length, so anything that isn't a plain rectangle gets rounded off. This one traces the real footprint with the Shoelace formula — the surveyor's method for any straight-sided polygon — so alcoves, bay windows and awkward corners are counted exactly as they are. Prefer numbers to drawing? Type a precise width and length and the room is rebuilt as an exact rectangle in one tap.
