## Square Point of Sale (POS) Reviews in United Kingdom

### ***** "Fantastic for quick cash"
Very easy to set up for your personal bank account than most other points of access apps that require business bank accounts details, etc.

Very effective for quick cash, so 1.75% transfer fees are very justifiable.

When you need a POS asap, square is the one you need
-- Pawskyy, 2026-09-06

### ***** "Great so far"
I have used sumup, lopay and now square. I had a wix website but I find square website suits me better and looks better and now I have the square handheld so it’s all linked!! Bit more expensive processing fees than others but it’s great that you can just phone them whenever you need too.
-- Connor7599, 2026-09-01

### *---- "Horrible to set up"
Takes so long to set up, all the identification verification is very faulty and barely works, tried setting up online and they temporarily locked my account, use another app for faster or less complicated set up that actually works
-- dfghddgzzz, 2026-08-29

### *---- "Don’t use"
Terribly slow and nothing works do not use
-- Rene Roche, 2026-08-15

### *---- "Doesn’t work!"
Tried verifying identity for the past hour. It simply takes you back to the same page. Like you’re in a loop. Useless!
-- FlavSpita, 2026-07-11

### *---- "Won’t work"
I was going to connect my reader to my iPad today for a event however after 5 seconds of entering app every time it kicks me out I have made sure app is latest version and I deleted and re installed and signed in and didn’t work don’t use this app
-- £25’, 2026-07-03

### ***** "Sqaure"
Square is a really good app I have been using this for about 3 years I would say this it is a food age ratting and the app is reliable
-- notingham forrist, 2026-06-29

### *---- "long"
takes ages to process money and when trying to issue a refund takes even longer to go back to someone’s account
-- tylerrrrrrr1333, 2026-05-13

### *---- "Bad update bad customer service"
After 2 weeks of tap to pay not working and multiple phone calls I’ve had enough. I was told it was my fault then it was apples fault and I was also laughed at. Take responsibility square you have sent two update that don’t fix anything. I’ve had my complaints escalated so much that they are up by Artemis 2 at the moment and still a manager hasn’t called me. Im told 1 to 3 days each time. I’m so disappointed. I currently looking for a new app so any suggestions are welcome
-- scooter be, 2026-04-07

### *---- "Useless"
Until the last iOS update it was perfect but now it’s no way to use tap pay on iPhone ! I tried to contact Square but the only answer was : it’s going to done by the 1 of April and it wasn’t…so it’s no enough to be useless but also having joke with your customers ? This is an absolute BS
-- Sandyklosters, 2026-04-03

### ***-- "Almost good"
Software is almost good just needs fine tweaking hardware is terrible they sell you systems that are not compatible with each other ie till draw don’t work with the system they sold me
-- meinnit69er, 2026-03-18

### *---- "Terrible"
Entered my legal name and address as per required to set up an account, but they rejected me. When I tried to deactivate my account after being told that I cannot open an account with them, I qas notified that they were unable to deactive my account. Terrible platform, and was also told my ther AI that there are no people I could contact about this issue. It is also ambiguous how they verify identity, because no passport/ID card/driver’s license is required, only full legal name and address.
-- Satka99, 2026-03-11

### ***** "Good product"
Been using square for a number of years and found it to be reliable and I like the way the reports are set up, I found it easier to use than some of the other payment machines out there.
-- Chefmartin, 2026-03-11

### ***** "Point of sale"
Great all round tool. Easy to use and understand. Fantastic customer service and support.
-- MQuirke, 2026-02-24

### *---- "Trash"
I put £20.00 from my account onto it and it sent £19.50 to my account so where does my money go
-- Jake Salou, 2026-01-13

### ***** "Tommy"
Brilliant
-- Xx tegan xX, 2026-01-13

### *---- "Misleading"
You have to buy a £50 card reader to use this app
-- moose1242243, 2025-12-06

### ****- "Highly recommended🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺"
Good service, I have been used for years never had any problem
-- Ashraf218, 2025-12-05

### *---- "Do not trust"
No one should trust this people they are holding my £1k for 90 days
-- Scottiboi, 2025-11-17

### *---- "Scammers"
They are trying to hold my money for 120 plus days shut down my account over 1 dispute and have railroad your funds into their own pocket.
-- WSM-CEO, 2025-11-11
