## Square Team Description
Square Team app is the one place for your team to communicate, manage schedules, access timecards, and stay in sync — all on the go. It also allows them to see their hours worked, breaks, overtime, and estimated pay.

Built for businesses using Square, the app enables employees to clock in and out on their phones instead of at the POS, which saves time and eliminates the need for team members to crowd around the POS to clock in. Employers can manage teams more easily, adjust schedules, and empower their employees by putting critical shift information at their fingertips. Employers using Square Payroll can easily pay their team, automatically importing timecards, tips, and commissions.

Your whole team can chat using real-time messaging and employers can send out important updates and announcements so the whole team stays in the know.

Team members can see when and where they’re scheduled to work, pick up open hours, and make sure their work schedule fits with their personal one. It also allows them to see their hours worked, breaks, overtime, and estimated pay. And if team members are paid through Square Payroll, they have access to their pay stubs and tax forms right on their mobile phones.

• Clock-in: Team members can clock in for an upcoming shift directly through Team app
• Weekly Snapshot: Team members can get a quick snapshot of when and where they’re scheduled to work
• Estimated pay: Team members can also see hours worked, breaks, overtime, tips and estimated pay

Messages and Announcements
• Messaging: Real-time messaging for the whole team, eliminating the need to share phone numbers.
• Announcements: Easily broadcast important announcements, news, and updates to everyone on the team.

Shifts
• Team-initiated scheduling: Empower your team to request time off, swap shifts, and claim open shifts directly from the Square Team app.
• Timecards, schedules and estimated pay: Team members can view timecards, scheduled hours, and view estimated pay.
• Clock in and out: Enable team members to clock in and out, take breaks, and get notifications.

Payroll
• Owners using Square Payroll can easily pay W2 employees and 1099 contractors, automatically importing timecards, tips, and commissions
• Our team of specialists will take care of the rest—we pay your team, file your payroll taxes, and send your tax payments to federal and state tax agencies.

• If team members get paid through Square Payroll, they can:

If I could leave zero stars I would. This app is utterly clunky and is not user friendly. The keyboard used to type messages covers what you are writing so God forbid there be any errors. On top of that if you don’t wait for the app to send a picture or message it just deletes them. If you are looking for an app for your work crew to communicate on do yourselves a favor and move on to the next app.

I was logged in as an employee, clocking in and out, and after a couple of weeks I completely disappeared from the system. My boss said I disappeared on his end, too. So I was supposed to get paid last week and couldn’t because of this. And then this garbage cooperation OUTSOURCES their customer service to INDIA! I can’t wait to see these big corporations fall. The little man deserves the power and control over business dealings. Pure garbage.

I just got my first job and my employers said I needed to download this app for schedule and pay. There was a hiccup with getting my paycheck to come through to Cashapp from the Square Team app. Alex was the representative I spoke to and immediately he was extremely rude. I explained to him what the issue was and he said, “Ok, I don’t know why you’re calling with this. I don’t know what the problem for you is.” Literally word for word. He did nothing to try and understand or offer any help whatsoever. He kept repeating that he didn’t know what to tell me. Super disrespectful and disappointing. I liked the app’s features but the total lack of customer service basically ruined it. Super upset and the problem hasn’t been resolved!

I can’t use app anymore on my phone because it’s older iOS version. Now I can’t clock in and out of work or view my hours without needing a new phone. What a waste.

There was a recent update for the app that’s only accessible for IOS 16 but since I have an older phone it won’t even let me do anything as simple as look at my schedule! Instead every time I open up the app it completely blocks my screen with the message “NEW VERSION REQUIRED” but it will not even let me bypass the message without updating, which is impossible for my older iPhone. I don’t understand why they don’t make this app more available to everyone. Not everyone can afford to keep up the latest,newest and expensive phones. I hope they fix this problem soon soon!

Story- I got a delinquent notice in the mail stating that my 2024 Q3 EIT (Local Earned Income Tax) has not been filed or paid. So after reaching out to square support over the phone 6 times and emailing 5 different people, NO ONE can help. They give me the run around and tell me it has been filed on their end. When I call the local tax bureau they confirm it has not. They refuse to contact the local tax bureau themselves, and have no tax professionals that I can speak to. So now I will have to pay this tax out of pocket plus fees in ADDITION to all EIT that has already been withdrawn from my payroll. At this point Square has taken my money and who knows where they sent it!!! Unbelievably frustrating.
