Want to display or send SSTV transmissions, without using a bulky computer? SSTV Pad lets you decode and display Ham (Amateur) Radio SSTV (Slow Scan TV) transmissions. Just connect your device to an HF radio (or even set it next to the radio's speaker), tune in an SSTV frequency, and watch the pictures. SSTV Pad decodes all of the popular SSTV modes, including Robot, Scottie, Martin, and more. Some modes are receive only.
Decoding of SSTV transmissions begins automatically as soon as the start of image audio signals are detected, and the image format is automatically selected. Manual control is also available for use when receiving conditions are poor. Timing signals (phase and skew) can be adjusted to compensate for mismatches with the sending station.
Received images can be saved - including automatically as they are received. You can leave the app running unattended, and come back to view all the received images. You can review saved images, as well as send them via email, and use iTunes file sharing to transfer them to your computer. You can even share them on your Facebook page, or tweet them to your followers, directly from the app! (iOS 6 and later)
You can also transmit images, taken from your saved photos or taken with your device's camera. Text, such as your callsign, can be added to the sent image.

Note: If you cannot see the transmit button, go to the Accessibility settings for your device and turn Button Shapes OFF. It makes the buttons too large so you cannot see them all.
Also, It is very important to have a well tuned signal of good quality, and make sure you get the audio from your radio to your device without adding additional distortion, or auto start and mode detect will not work optimally. You can also use Bluetooth audio devices to feed audio into your device. Please be sure to use a good quality Bluetooth device, that does not distort the audio.

Aplikacja bardzo słaba, problemy z zapisywaniem obrazków, zero rozwoju aplikacji, nawet gdyby było za darmo to zastanowiłbym się drugi raz czy pobrać. Nie warte tych pieniędzy.
Disappointed me so many times :(
Just cannot save and autosave images, I've lost few of event images because app cannot save or auto save images as it claims! And even do not prompt when saving fails, do not detect if has rights to save images to photo roll. Even clicking on save does nothing - and when you realize it - it is TOO LATE. You had one simple job... Plus - it is only SSTV app, and paid! Ridiculous!
Long time no update
Many functions work well. But it has been 7 years without update. I cannot use my camara in the app. It doesn’t support PD Tx
It does work, but…
So the app will do what it says; it will decode sstv images from the audio streams that it hears. You can save your images in the app, but you’ll need to screenshot them if you want them in your photos. And it only hears via the microphone; it cannot use a saved audio file for input. It only decodes live over the mic. Sad that you have to buy it to find out what the limitations are.
Great app
Works super well, is fun to mess with, provides a variety of options, and is super cheap in price. The app may need updated for more recent IOS updates for the use camera function as the app will crash if you select it. Only a slight issue though because you can take a picture in the square lens and then transmit it from your camera roll.

Works great for what it is. I'm having a blast. This app eliminates the need for fancy stuff. It's worth $3 for sure. 73
