the business cancelled on me at 2.30pm before my 4pm shift, when i had already left the house to travel there. how is it fair that a business can there’s a penalty for us freelancers when we cancel a shift within 24hrs, but none for the business? how is this accepted. shouldn’t there be some compensation for us if they do so. it’s a really horrible structure if the only solution is to “seek alternative employment” on the app.

Many jobs here are paying below the hourly wage requirement/guideline by the government. Seems like this app is being used by business owners to cut costs &avoid going under the radar of the Govt.

have to keep asking for help and still there’s no reply, and they kept cancelling my shifts even though i’m a new user

i feel like not only users searching for a job should get penalty if they cancel, businesses that suddenly cancels these employees should also get penalty because they are wasting our time after cancelling on us suddenly.

Slow to get slots and they cancel easily

After working many shifts on staffie, I discovered a darkness to it; the model they use is too simplistic, emphasising the fact that employers do not care about staff. Their hidden FAQ which they won’t clearly write on their terms and conditions will take you by surprise once you work for them longer. Their model is geared towards businesses; hardly cares for workers. As long as they make profit in the app, that’s all that matters.

Best app to find PT work

When I heard about this app I was curious and explore the app it help me to flexible timing and suitable for me, they transfer the money every Monday or Tuesday it great to get a quick cash for a few hours. It good to learn different every time I work at different restaurants

This is a great app for those who needs flexible schedules. However I think there needs to be a penalty for business who cancels last min or cancels for no reason when you met their criteria stated in their contract originally . For businesses who wants highly experienced servers I think they should include that from the get go rather than booking and cancelling constantly . It wastes both our time. Also how is anyone suppose to get experience if you don’t hire them in the first place. I just downloaded the app up on a recommendation from a friend who also uses this app. She’s had wonderful results so far. I’ve just downloaded yesterday and while I did manage to secure some shifts for next month - for this month it’s just constant cancellations from the business’s side. I think Staffie should fine tune this process so that business cannot keep approving and cancelling constantly.
