TL;DR: DO NOT USE THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT LIMITED STORIES AND TO BE FORCED TO ALLOW YOUR DATA TO BE SOLD Now the details… First, they beg you to subscribe by grossly limiting free stories. Once you subscribe, you suddenly realize the Star-Gazette app does not contain all of the stories in the daily newspaper, only SELECT EDITED digital stories. You don’t even get the full stories!! If that wasn’t bad enough, the app is CHOCK FULL OF SHADY ADS after you subscribe. It reminds me of those rotten webpages where you scroll through 45 just to read the text of the freaking article. And again, I repeat this is with a paid subscription!! And to to make matters worse, when you try to limit your data so it cannot be sold, you discover the app has disabled that function. So they literally FORCE YOU TO AGREE TO SELL YOUR DATA. This is a clear violation of the AppStore guidelines and I will be reporting it to Apple.
