I don’t have any problem connecting the camera to the WiFi but once it’s connected, after a s few minutes I’m unable to see the the video because it says it’s offline, but the word thing is that I keep receiving notifications when it senses movement in front of it, and the worst thing those notifications are in Chinese so is impossible to understand them, which is very annoying.
App only crashes now
I can get the app running and I can use the camera for about maybe 24 hours and then all of a sudden it kicks me out of the app and I can’t login I can’t do nothing and it tells me that my account doesn’t exist and I’ve deleted the app I’ve re-downloaded ittry to redo it account but I get nowhere
Just trash. Purchased a small hidden camera and can’t be connected. No name of device. No QR code to add device. Just garbage.
I’ve been getting great use out of this camera however all day today there has been no camera available to view. I’ve unplugged my router and reset it. Nothing. I’ve unplugged the camera. Nothing. I’ve did a hard reset and it will add it but once back to home there is no camera. Tried re adding and it tells me camera has already been added. I’ve even removed app and redownloaded, added camera back all for it to tell me for the second time “current network anomaly” at this point I’m not sure what’s going on and maybe it would be more useful to people to have a bit more info in the customer service area. Because of this, 2 stars. I’m honestly not sure if it will work again which is pretty disappointing.
This is a terrible app and every time they make changes it gets worse. They don’t give you the option to update to the latest version they just do it automatically. My recommendation to you is, save yourself the frustration and don’t buy any camera that uses the ‘STAREYE’ app. You’ll be happy you didn’t.
If you respect yourself, your family, and your property, you will get decent security camera bc this one ain’t it. It hardly connects to the app, it moves “guard” position (turns to look into the middle of nowhere from where I originally set it), offers no real Cloud package so you don’t have an option to truly playback video, AND to top it all off, the customer support is virtually NONEXISTENT. No one to call, email, write, nada.. You’re probably wondering if it’s anecdotal, well read around, Everyone is saying this same thing. Don’t be fooled like us, or do, after all it’s your money.
Bad ideal…there are soooo many other camera’s to choose from this is difinately not the 1. Trash!
This is garbage instructions are not clear and was missing pieces like power cord don’t buy !!
