Features: Unlike other vehicle breakdown apps, the startrescue.co.uk app does not require you to make a telephone call to report your breakdown. Once you have completed the simple registration process, reporting your breakdown takes less than 15 seconds. When we receive your request for assistance we will already know who you are*, what type of policy you have*, where you are and what may be wrong with your vehicle. Thanks to your smart phone’s built in GPS, we will know exactly where you are. We will call you back and confirm your details, saving you the cost of the phone call. If you are not a startrescue.co.uk member, we will provide you with a quotation for our Pay On Use assistance. When help is on its way, you will receive a message stating who will be attending and how long they will be. The app is free and available to both startrescue.co.uk members and non-members. *Only startrescue.co.uk members will benefit from this feature. ## Start Rescue Screenshots - [Screenshot 1](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource114/v4/53/5b/d4/535bd4e5-040f-ba53-237a-c8b3e4251012/1eeb01ac-33bb-48f4-8e3e-20d6e619742e_IMG_0006.PNG/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 2](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource114/v4/e2/ed/2e/e2ed2e4f-1adc-8ab4-724d-0baf83e291c6/618f1c91-877d-4608-832b-0a977bb92b0f_IMG_0007.PNG/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 3](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource114/v4/0b/f6/e6/0bf6e679-ad21-7c2a-cab4-d6a65fcd225c/975c31b5-9723-4cb8-91c9-9308011618d8_IMG_0009.PNG/1242x2688.png) - [Screenshot 4](https://is1-ssl.mzstatic.com/image/thumb/PurpleSource114/v4/cb/fb/83/cbfb8322-7998-f466-9647-7f3a35f0995f/0ad9633b-69c6-4cf2-b484-bb435964d420_IMG_001.png/1242x2688.png) ## Start Rescue Rating Breakdown in United Kingdom - 5 stars: 31 (60%) - 4 stars: 9 (17%) - 3 stars: 4 (8%) - 2 stars: 0 (0%) - 1 stars: 8 (15%) ## Start Rescue Reviews in United Kingdom ### ***** "Perfect service" I have unfortunately had to use start rescue quite a few times over the last few years. The app is easy to use, I always get rescued in a decent time and have never had any problems with start rescue. I just have problems with every car I’ve ever owned 🥲😂 -- Yvonne Off, 2025-06-23 ### ***** "Amazing Service" I have had Start Rescue for a number of years and can’t fault the service. They have helped us out numerous time’s from flat tyres to the cars not starting. Always had friendly recovery drivers and great service. -- Coalhead, 2024-07-24 ### ***** "Happy customer" Excellent service was received last week when through stupidity on my part had to call out the rescue and was treated very efficiently -- peter306, 2023-11-17 ### *---- "Can’t imagine start rescue have gone that bad - Unbelievable and shocking service" I was with start rescue for some time in the past then moved to ram and last year got my van cover from them My van battery ran out I ordered replacement battery and called recovery My initial thought was like AA or Rac the driver can simply install the battery and the job will be done After 4 hours of wait driver finally arrived and said we will be charged for the battery replacement When I asked the drive can you take us to garage the driver wanted to have confirmed booking with garage , I called garage and told him about the situation if recovery called then tell him we are booked While I was in the phone with garage trying to get hold of their manager the recovery driver drove off He was more interested in getting the booking confirmed with garage before we go there Called customer services to get the update as driver lied about returning back when confirmed with garage but he called from Private number leaving us stranded for another day The customer service team tried to assure us it’s a one off incident and they can rebook for next working day when no one is available to see the recovery driver Ended up sorting the battery replacement my self with the help of someone Will never use this company again They use third party contractors who are of no help Do your self a favour and consider green flag RAC or AA -- Falak_aamir, 2023-01-26 ### ***** "Excellent" Broke down this week, starter motor had gone, the app did everything for me. Just don’t forget to enter your membership number in the app settings. -- Yebsteve, 2021-11-27 ### *---- "No policy end date" No policy info even end date of the policy -- lovelyguygyu, 2021-07-22 ### ***** "Excellent app and company" Few years ago my car broke down in Germany. It was a real nightmare; night, freezing cold with rain and car standing on the fast lane of autobahn. Start rescue team was amazing in organising help for us. I used an app to contact start rescue and everything worked just fine. -- Warsaw trip, 2020-09-15 ### *---- "Avoid, avoid, avoid..." TOOK 3 HOURS TO ATTEND!!! the one star is for Peter from the M8 recovery company , once there he done a first class job. STARTS app didn’t work & the phone number they gave me 12 months ago was unattainable. Had to google to get a new phone number. AVOID AVOID ACOID !!! -- AVOID START, 2019-12-23 ### ***** "Excellent" Startrescue.co.uk have provided a really useful app. It’s completely self service and like the supermarket checkouts, an experienced member of staff is always there monitoring what I’m doing to ensure the reporting of my breakdown all goes smoothly. I have had to callout Start Rescue once and from start to end they were fab! Will definitely recommend to friends & family. -- xshannonmurray, 2019-12-03 ### ***** "Great Service" In my recently purchased van (016 plate) it blew up on a very busy slip road near Ferrybridge, I was terrified, I called Start Rescue and they were there in 20 minutes. The highway pick up man was so helpful and gave us loads of information, got us to our garage safely and was very professional. I can’t thank you enough and apologise for being a little short tempered on during the call due to fear -- Mrs Troutman, 2019-08-03 [View all Start Rescue reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## Apps Similar to Start Rescue - [APCOA Connect – Parking](https://apptail.io/app/apcoa-connect-parking-Tuc/united-kingdom) - [SiteSeeker](https://apptail.io/app/siteseeker-OXc/united-kingdom) - [Holiday Extras](https://apptail.io/app/holiday-extras-Sse/united-kingdom) - [Zapmap: EV charging points map](https://apptail.io/app/zapmap-ev-charging-points-map-Gqg/united-kingdom) - [OS Maps: Walk, Hike, Run, Bike](https://apptail.io/app/os-maps-walk-hike-run-bike-DEg/united-kingdom) - [PetrolPrices: UK Fuel Prices](https://apptail.io/app/petrolprices-uk-fuel-prices-Qbj/united-kingdom) - [Esso: Pay for fuel, get points](https://apptail.io/app/esso-pay-for-fuel-get-points-FSj/united-kingdom) - [Marmalade Insurance](https://apptail.io/app/marmalade-insurance-Pav/united-kingdom) - [Connect Cashless Parking](https://apptail.io/app/connect-cashless-parking-xMeb/united-kingdom) - [NexusPay | GroupNexus](https://apptail.io/app/nexuspay-groupnexus-qMwd/united-kingdom) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
