## StationWX Description
StationWX turns raw ASOS and AWOS surface observations into clear, decoded aviation weather, and tells you when the station itself can't be trusted.

THE STATION IS THE STORY
Most weather apps stop at the METAR text. StationWX watches the stations: 2,668 U.S. ASOS and AWOS sites with live health status, maintenance-flag analysis, and decoded observations, plus NOAA 1-minute data for the 920 federally certified ASOS sites. Everything is fetched directly from NOAA, the National Weather Service, the Aviation Weather Center, and the Iowa Environmental Mesonet. There is no backend server in between.

SEE THE WEATHER, NOT THE CODE
Every METAR is decoded into plain language: wind, gusts, visibility, ceiling, temperature, dewpoint, and altimeter, with the raw text one tap away. Stations are colored by flight category (VFR, MVFR, IFR, LIFR) so you can read an entire region at a glance.

EVERYTHING INCLUDED
• 2,668 U.S. weather stations: search by ICAO, IATA, FAA LID, name, or state
• Flight-category map: VFR, MVFR, IFR and LIFR at a glance, clustered by worst conditions
• Animated NEXRAD radar overlay right on the station map
• Decoded METARs with full raw text
• Live station status: online, flagged, and offline, with outage detection
• 30-day history charts: temperature, dewpoint, wind, gusts, and pressure, with scrubbing
• Maintenance-flag ($) analysis across observation history
• SIGMETs and AIRMETs from the Aviation Weather Center
• NWS severe weather alerts and weather news
• Satellite imagery and space weather
• Multi-station comparison and wind-rose visualization
• Watchlist with Home Screen widgets and background alerts
• Siri and Shortcuts support
• PDF station reports
• Spotlight search of your stations

PAY ONCE, OWN IT
$2.99 one time. No subscription, no account, no ads, no tracking, and no data collected, ever. Every feature above is included, and so is every future update.

FOR PILOTS, SPOTTERS, AND WEATHER PEOPLE
Preflight situational awareness, storm spotting, mesonet watching, flight training, or plain curiosity about the weather where you live.

StationWX is a situational-awareness tool for surface observations and advisories. It does not provide TAFs and is not a substitute for an official preflight weather briefing.
