## Steam Chat Description
Take your Steam friends, groups, and conversations with you wherever you go.

The Steam Chat app includes many key features of the desktop Steam client chat, including:
Friends List – See who’s in game or online at a glance. You'll see your custom categories and favorites bar just like you can on your PC. (repeated above)
Rich Chat – Your chats get even better with higher fidelity links, videos, tweets, GIFs, Giphy, Steam emoticons, and more.
Invite Links – Add new friends on Steam with a link. Generate an invite link you can text or email.
Customizable Notifications – Mobile notifications mean you'll never miss a message or game invite. You can customize your notifications per friend, group chat, and chat channel.
Group Chats - Get everyone on the same page. Groups make it easier to do things like stay in touch with your communities and organize game night with your best friends.

## Steam Chat Reviews in United States

### *---- "can’t login"
can’t log into the app
-- Family is a gift, 2026-09-10

### *---- "Horrible"
You can’t even login it did everything right and IT STILL WONT LET ME IN
-- Someone-0, 2026-09-02

### ****- "Good"
It’s a good app the only thing is that you can’t call and why is it none part of the steam app?
-- Luke Tosatto, 2026-08-30

### *---- "Do not download!"
This app doesn’t allow you to properly connect to your steam, asking for Steam Guard codes when Steam Guard asks to scan a QR code. Steam is actually dumb af for not having this be more simple considering it’s a f- messenger app. No wonder people use discord more.
-- NickCL11, 2026-08-23

### *---- "Can’t log in"
The Authenticator notification doesn’t work. Can’t log in
-- Gumpo Sr., 2026-08-21

### *---- "Failed to connect to Steam"
This app has been shut down, as if it wasn't useless enough already being separate from the main app. Garbage.
-- CreateNicknameReview, 2026-08-17

### *---- "Stolen account"
My account was stolen from me and I believe it’s through this app. Steam support was actually more of a headache and for some reason they think I’m the hacker or hijacked and that the guy who’s using my account is the legitimate one. Unbelievable, as my account has been with me for 2 decades. Soooooo frustrating and sad.
-- Rh88dog, 2026-08-15

### *---- "why does this exist"
I remember when we could just text people on the normal app, that was so much easier than this.
-- merlineishere, 2026-08-14

### **--- "Locked out because steam guard doesn’t recognize this app"
Really frustrating unfortunately. Normally really trust valve but this app is bad. Will ask you to use steam guard, link you to the app, and then ask you to scan a QR code (which doesn’t exist) to sign in. This wouldn’t be an issue if they just included this with the steam app itself but unfortunately chats on the app or mobile search engine are abysmal and you can’t even sign into the system they designed chats to be held in. Very disappointing.
-- Shhsjjvvjkcjhxf, 2026-08-12

### *---- "Peace of shirt"
Sun of the beach
