Die Steam-Link-App bringt Desktopspiele auf Ihr iPhone oder iPad. Koppeln Sie einfach ein MFi-Gerät oder einen Steam Controller mit Ihrem Gerät, starten Sie Steam auf einem Computer, der mit demselben Netzwerk verbunden ist, und schon können Sie alle Ihre Steam-Spiele spielen.

Voraussetzungen:
* iPhone oder iPad mit iOS 11.0 oder neuer
* Computer, der Steam ausführt – Windows, Mac oder Linux
* Das iOS-Gerät muss sich im selben lokalen Netzwerk befinden wie der Computer, auf dem Steam ausgeführt wird.

Für die beste Leistung:
* Verbinden Sie Ihren Computer per Netzwerkkabel mit Ihrem 5GHz-WLAN-Router.
* Verbinden Sie Ihr iOS-Gerät mit dem 5GHz-Band Ihres WLAN-Netzwerks.
* Entfernen Sie Ihr iOS-Gerät nicht weiter als nötig von Ihrem Router

### *---- "Guter Ansatz, schlechte Umsetzung"
Steam ist auf meinem MBP mit m3max installiert, bei der MacOS nativen App wird zwar das Bild vom Desktop angezeigt, bedienen lässt es sich mit dem an der AppleTV gekoppelten PS5-Controller nicht. Starte ich Steam über Crossover von Codeweavers, kommt gar kein Bild auf der AppleTV an, obwohl Steam behauptet der Client wäre verbunden. Dann kann ich auch gleich das Screensharing von MacOS verwenden. Softwarestand auf allen Geräten ist aktuell (keine Beta).

Bildschirm wird nicht aufbereitet sondern irgendwie skaliert dargestellt. 

Trotz niedriger Auflösung und definitiv schneller lan/wlan/wan Verbindung, ist die steaming Performance unterirdisch. 

Konnte bisher weder auf dem Apple TV noch auf dem iPhone auch nur einmal erfolgreich ein Spiel starten.

I love the idea of this app, and when it works, it‘s great, and I love using it, but unfortunately, there are a lot of bugs. I‘m running streaming from a gigabit LAN connected mid range desktop PC with an RTX 2060S and an iPad 9th Gen (latest iOS 18) connected via Ubiquiti Access Point, also have great signal strength and stability in the connection, therefore I am fairly sure that the issue is not on my end.
Issues I have faced:
- Sometimes, the virtual controller, can be mouse or OSD, randomly stops responding, or appears only in the pause menu. Some games seem much more susceptible, so while it works pretty reliably in some, in others its very annoying.
- When using default settings, I get a yellow flickering band at the top of the screen that is very annoying. It ruins the game experience and overlaps the OSD, making everything hard to navigate. I had to reduce the resolution and sometimes it still appears. In some games, it appears even still and i know no other workaround then to restart the app or restart the game. But even that often doesn‘t help. The artifacts don‘t appear on the streaming PC‘s so I‘m pretty sure it‘s the app.
- Sometimes the Big Picture mode glitches and all you get is a garbled/cut off image with broken. I had cases where the only solution was to shut down Steam on the streaming PC.
- Sometimes audio is weirdly choppy despite no visual artifacts and no visible latency or anything of the sort

If just these issues were fixed, it would be an easy 5 stars from me. But unfortunately, Steam Deck seems to be absolute priority for Valve and the Link app doesn‘t receive enough attention.

### *---- "Nach Update Controller nicht mehr nutzbar"
Seit dem Update auf 1.3.14 XBox Controller nicht mehr in Spielen nutzbar. Linker Stick scheint keine Funktion mehr zu haben. Controller via Bluetooth mit dem IPad verbunden. Identischer Controller direkt am PC funktioniert ohne Probleme. Vor dem Update konnte ich den Controller auch am IPad nutzen. Jetzt nicht mehr möglich. Im Menü verhält sich der Controller wie erwartet. In diversen getesteten Spielen funktioniert nur die Hälfte. Versuche über Einstellungsänderungen das Problem zu lösen führten nicht zum Erfolg. So leider nicht mehr für mich nutzbar. Schade davor gerne genutzt.

Sobald man die Tastatur auch nur eine Sekunde nutzt wird der Controller im Spiel nicht mehr erkannt. selbsr das Spiel oder Steam oder Steamlink neustarten hat nichts gebracht. Musste erst den PC neustarten. Muss jetzt jedesmal sobald ich irgendwas eingeben muss erst aufstehen und zum PC laufen. Spiel Darksouls Remastered

Really, this works well if you have games that support this. The main issue is the terrible settings/options. Even setting up something common like WASD keys you can spend hours with no results. So great for some games and unusable in others due to the lack of configuration options.

Konnte bis jetzt nur ein Spiel wirklich auf dem IPad spielen. Bei anderem funktioniert die Steuerung nur auf dem PC obwohl die App ja da ist um auf anderen Geräten spielen zu können. Wenn ich außerdem in die Einstellungen gehe während ich es verbunden hab, taucht auf meinem IPad oberhalb ein seltsamer Glitch auf.

Please somebody working at Valve and has 20 minutes time to recompile this for Native ARM, and then perhaps a day or so to fight with Apples App Store Review.

I get that the main client and the games running there won't work on ARM, but this App just streams Video from elsewhere and is an iPad App (for which the ARM version already exists!)

Please Valve, find it in your heart to set the checkbox in XCode and re-release.

### ****- "Maussupport fehlt auf tvOS"
Funktioniert sehr gut, um aus dem Arbeitszimmer zum Wohnzimmer zu streamen. Ich vermisse aber sehr die Unterstützung einer Bluetooth Maus. Laut Suchmaschine und Entwicklerdokumentation hat Apple seit einer Weile die Option für Apps, Mauseingaben zu nutzen. Ein entsprechendes Update wäre toll.

Es funktioniert für meine Bedürfnisse einwandfrei. Ab und zu bissi ruckeln, aber wen stört das schon beim Anno spielen 😅Das man keine Shooter oder Rennspiele darüber spielen braucht, sollte jedem klar sein. Dem Layout sollte man aber noch weitere Tasten hinzufügen können. Aber sonst wirklich gut, wenn man paar Steam-Spiele auf dem Handy noch im Bett daddeln möchte. Anno 1404 lässt sich auf jeden Fall absolut klasse spielen! 🤗🫶

Ich bin begeistert. Habe die AppleTV 4K über Lan Kabel angeschlossen dazu den  Nintendo Switch Pro Controller pber BlueTooth connected. Das Gameplay von der Couch am Beamer ist einfach geil im Vergleich zum Schreibtisch. Super app!!
