SteamWorld Heist

Fun game. I could easily spend 50+ hours on this game alone. That number will increase if you really want to complete this game in Elite difficulty. But totes worth it. Also, loads of fun hats. :)

I'm a big fan of Steamworld Dig, the spiritual predecessor of this game. They are similar in terms of quirky dialogues and excellent production quality, but this new one lost some user-friendliness but gained longevity of play. I remember finishing SW Dig in one sitting, probably around 5 hours. While in this game, I'm only about to finish the first world with the same amount of time. The game is harder as well, and forces you to grind to level up your crew to stand up to par to missions; FYI, I'm playing the game on experienced difficulty, a level after regular. In this difficulty, you will lose a vast amount of currency if you fail a mission and "dead" crew members won't gain experience so newbies better stick to regular difficulty if you don't want to get frustrated. I also don't like that the game gives you too many crew members. I'm a completionist so I feel like I have to grind everyone of them to find out more about their abilities and to be capable at every mission. I might update this once I finish the game since I haven't even finished the first world yet.

I love the game, don’t get me wrong, but there is one character I was really hoping to see (No, it’s not Dorthy or Rusty) that I heard was really good in game. It’s name is Fen, you cannot unfortunately get them on mobile. The game is good overall, but can you please add them sometime soon?

I haven’t played the game much after purchasing because it doesn’t fill the screen on either my iPad or iPhone. There is no way to tell this from the details in the store, and all of the “most helpful” reviews are from 5+ years ago when the screen sizes of apple devices were smaller. I can’t see how this is still labeled as an editor’s choice app when the developers won’t update to support the screen size of devices that have been out there for multiple years. What little I have played of the game I liked, but I can’t see myself playing it much with it not fitting my display. Definitely regret the purchase, Hopefully some others can read this review before they make the same mistake.

Great game love it need more and need an update for it to fit my iPhone XS Max screen. Now that a sequel is announced do we get an iOS update for this game along with the dlc???????

A port of Steamworld Dig w/ controller support would be amazing.

I love the story but speaking on the game itself, it is only rivaled by games under Goliath developers. I’ve played RPG’s like final fantasy and dragon quest, but this series actually pulls me in and never lets go. I would give it 6 stars if possible. If you like this game, then I recommend trying the other Steamworld games given you have the systems. I haven’t played quest yet, but Steamworld Dig 1&2 are amazing Platformer RPG’s.

I love this game so very much because of the beautiful artwork, plot, and effects. The music is creative and has great characters. I have been playing this game since I was seven and enjoyed it very much. The game Devs have a huge mind. I recommend this game a whole lot. Thank you. Enjoy the game!
