Based on the same code base as [steel], the best mobile structural steel reference on the App Store, it differs on only two aspects, the database each contain (CISC vs AISC) and [steel canada] is able to display side by side the Metric & Imperial equivalent designation for any of the shapes it contains. This is a one-up feature over [steel] that will make it useful even for engineers outside of Canada! FEATURES: ** BROWSE & SEARCH for sections in the main window, displaying either of: - Metric Designation, only metric names displayed and search conducted on these values. - Metric Designation + Imperial Equivalent, both metric and imperial names displayed, search conducted on the metric values. - Imperial Designation + Metric Equivalent, both metric and imperial names displayed, search conducted on the imperial values. ** SORT all sections based on a specific property, either in ascending or descending order. ** CONVERT units between Metric and English unit systems ** FLEXIBLE SEARCH lets you find a section faster, reducing typing and switching between the numeric and alphanumeric keyboard on the iPhone. Instead of entering "L 1.75 x 1.75 x 0.250" (which does work as well) you can simply input "L1.751.750.25" ** NO WIRELESS CONNECTION REQUIRED: All data is stored locally, making browsing and searching extremely fast. ---------------------------------------- User feedback on how to improve and grow the application is welcomed. Poor interface." I use this on a regular basis and I'm glad I bought it. The interface however needs a makeover. Category's blend together for example. Could be so much better to use. -- Röbÿn, 2013-06-01 ### ***** "Fantastic" Serviable utiliser tout les jours pour dessiner -- 666 tintin, 2013-03-12 ### ***** "Crashes when converting" Thank you for fixing the crash when converting. This is one of the most useful apps I own. Previous comment: It crashes when I select imperial units. This makes the app almost unusable. Please fix this and the app will be 5 stars. -- Bhenders, 2011-11-18 ### ***** "Just a great app" I use it all the time. It Would be nice to have the green and blue section of the handbook. -- fido48, 2011-09-04 ### ****- "Great" No longer have to carry around the very large and clunky handbook; it would be good if this app had the green and blue tables that would make this app 5 stars. -- ADP09, 2011-01-31 ### ****- "Great but..." It will be nicer if there is a 'favorite sections' button. If I demand, Class (Class 1, 2, 3, 4) option will be nice. It is a nice program. Thank you for creating this. -- DanceCalgary.com, 2010-10-05 ### ***** "Excellent Reference Tool" I rarely use my handbook now. All of the sections commonly used in the Canadian steel industry are included. The app has all the sectional properties required to estimate, detail and do quick designs. Tables are sortable by the property of choice. The data base is searchable to pick the depth and weight of the section you are considering. The information can be displayed in metric, imperial or both if you are more comfortable with the imperial designations. Thank you CISC for sharing the information. -- stargazer99, 2010-04-14 ### ***** "Great tool" This is a handy tool. What would be useful as a future development would be if the green and blue tables from the CISC handbook were also available, assuming that CISC would permit such use. -- Boiling BP, 2010-03-15 ### ***** "Great tool" Great tool for regular searching of steel shapes and its sizes. I use it on almost a daily basis, and it is easy to use. The developer is on top of it. -- JRs iPod 2009, 2010-02-18 ### ***** "Just excellent!" A well laid out app that has everything you are looking for in a steel shape database, in both metric and imperial values. -- DXF, 2010-01-20 [View all [steel shapes] canada reviews and detailed analytics on AppTail](https://app.apptail.io/signup?utm_campaign=ai-crawl&utm_content=reviews) ## [steel shapes] canada Store Rankings | Chart | Country | Category | Rank | |-------|---------|----------|------| | Top Paid | Canada | Reference | #72 | ## [steel shapes] canada Discovered Keywords - steel shapes] canada ## Apps Similar to [steel shapes] canada - [Geometry Calculator.](https://apptail.io/app/geometry-calculator-mLbe/canada) - [Pocket Welder](https://apptail.io/app/pocket-welder-zShe/canada) - [Steel Profiles](https://apptail.io/app/steel-profiles-OFje/canada) - [PocketTradesman Pipefitter](https://apptail.io/app/pockettradesman-pipefitter-iLMe/canada) - [Civil Engineering Calculators](https://apptail.io/app/civil-engineering-calculators-EROe/canada) - [Victory Church Grande Prairie](https://apptail.io/app/victory-church-grande-prairie-eXUe/canada) - [Northwestern Polytechnic](https://apptail.io/app/northwestern-polytechnic-KRdf/canada) - [Triangle Calculator Plus](https://apptail.io/app/triangle-calculator-plus-seBl/canada) - [Citizenship Test Canada 2026](https://apptail.io/app/citizenship-test-canada-2026-TkNt/canada) - [CWI Welding Exam Prep](https://apptail.io/app/cwi-welding-exam-prep-wrpy/canada) ## [steel shapes] canada Available In - [Canada](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/canada) - [United States](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/united-states) - [India](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/india) - [Saudi Arabia](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/saudi-arabia) - [Uzbekistan](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/uzbekistan) - [Australia](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/australia) - [South Africa](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/south-africa) - [Ireland](https://apptail.io/app/steel-shapes-canada-VShe/ireland) --- ## About AppTail [AppTail](https://apptail.io) is a mobile app intelligence platform providing app analytics, ASO (App Store Optimization) tools, keyword tracking, competitor analysis, revenue estimates, and review monitoring for iOS App Store apps.
