Downloaded this app to follow the recommendations of a YouTuber I love.  I selected sign in using AppleID.  Log in is extremely slow on both iPad and iPhone; when logged in, the content loads slowly or not at all; my Profile won;t load.  Clearly something many others don’t suffer, but not a good experience either.  Unusually at the moment.

Being charged for this every month. Not on my Apple subscription list and no way to cancel the subscription. I don’t like that app and isn’t easy to use IMHO! The fact they charge you and you can’t cancel seems like a scam.

- the subscription charges do not come under Apple subscriptions and the process to unsubscribe is buggy - you press unsubscribe but button remains visible unsubscribed. - I followed TOPJAW but honestly their lists are just crammed with numerous random restaurants, I got it for NY but after reviewing London list I realised it’s not at all a refined list of places, half of them are extremely average at best. You will be better off checking out eg Opinionated About Dining ranking which is free and much better vetted

### *---- "Subscriptions Can’t cancel from Apple Subscriptions"
Just a caution which I didn’t realise when I downloaded this app. Once you start following individuals you might pay subscriptions for the people you follow however you can’t cancel this from your normal place in Apple where you can cancel your other subscriptions. It doesn’t give you a lot of detail about payment in the app basically you need to Unfollow the person or group and then only you can unsubscribe, so just be cautious and how many you subscribe to because you can’t cancel directly from your Apple and I only realised when I got a payment email.

I love the concept of this app as I’m very foodie and love to find new places to share. However my city (Plymouth) doesn’t register as a city it just comes up as ‘All the rest’ which is verging on offensive 😂 There’s no way to rename guides to fit what you want, and no way to do e.g. ‘North Devon’. You need to be able to create and name your own guides for this app to make any sense !!!!

This all doesn’t really give any value (you can just follow the creators on insta or TikTok and then use Google maps and make lists of the recommendations) and then they make it impossible for you to unsubscribe so it keeps charging you until you email them. Very poor.

Really like the concept, came to download to follow TopJaw and their recommendations. The first two restaurants I’ve come to look at have very incorrect details (eg wrong location or wrong name). Most disappointingly i can’t see any comments stating why a particular place has been added - eg who on TopJaws interviews recommended it and why. This the main reason i downloaded it and I’ve paid to subscribe for no reason now as I could have had better information adding the recommendations from the great TopJaw interviews to my own map directly with a comment. The app could be fantastic but needs some more detail orientation.

I love the concept of Step and think it's a great way to discover new places. That said, I can't currently use it for what it's intended for - sharing favourite places - as only Curators are able to add locations. It would be nice to be able to add our own spots to share with friends and followers. I'd also love a better search bar where you can filter by location users are associated with as well as search by keyword, as I find a lot of users come up in my search bar who live in places I have never been and currently have no plans to visit, and of course it's more useful to follow people who save places I'll actually be able to go to!

I am a big fan of this app, and used it regularly while it worked for me. Unfortunately it stopped working on my phone a few months ago, and despite deleting and redownloading several times, I’ve not been able to fix it! I did get in touch with the team who were going to look into it, but I’m still waiting to hear back. I hope there’s a solution as this is an amazing app and would love to access my account again as had so many great spots saved!
