Types of work you’ll be doing:
- Our shifts are 2-4 hours long, mainly during busy peaks.
- All our roles are highly customer-facing, so we’re looking for enthusiastic and outgoing people with a can-do attitude.
- Tasks can range from greeting customers, setting tables, taking orders to working behind a bar.
- No CV or previous hospitality experience required.

best part of this app was the variety of being able to work for a different business each week, and the flexibility. by mandating a set number of weekly shifts at the same company, all that’s gone. used to love doing more shifts some weeks then none in the couple of weeks i had assignments. there was way less signing up process - also some of the applications ask super dodgy questions. congrats on ruining a good, enjoyable way of making money. like… this was such a good concept an business model, now what, you’ve invented having a part time job? imma just go on indeed

the app is essentially useless at being able to verify you from your passport picture (even if you’ve basically not changed how you look in any sense!). instructions are incredibly vague especially when every task to verify yourself is so particular in how it needs to be done.

You need other ways to confirm your right to work as other agencies allow you to use a British Birth certificate and NI number letter. Having no passport means now I need to pay £90 to prove my right to work, this is ridiculous.

great app, love the idea but small issues/bugs I’ve encountered have definitely dampened my experience:
• there’s an issue with completing my profile, for example I’ve had to upload and reupload both my work experience and the intro video to my profile about 5 times now/every week or so because it disappears on its own. 
• would be nice to receive confirmation from the employer or app when my job application reaches them so I know they’re actually being received.

I wasn’t able to sign up as the form was ‘over quota’ even though I had already filled it in once but the app made me do it again. Then the ‘live chat’ (which is the only way stinters can get help) doesn’t have any real people. There are only 5 options to chose from, so I don’t know why they pretend this is any different from they FAQs. Customer service is no existent and it’s impossible to sign up. A waste of time!

My accounts been disabled and the app is telling me to contact my administrator (that I don’t have), yet I’ve never had the chance to do a one off stint and never applied for a stint team so don’t know why they’ve done this, this was after I waited 2 years to get off the waitlist, I only wanted to do a shift here and there for the flexibility. If I wanted a full on second job I’d get one wouldn’t I. Absolute joke of an app

After completing the whole thing you get told you will be joining a waiting list.. it’s been weeks and so far nothing. Also got invited to teams, completed and submitted the form twice and it did not work, I never received even an email saying they received it. Honestly this app has been a waste of time.

The rate of cancellations from businesses is alarming. According to stint, “the business cancelled” but it is just the operators blacklisting some stinters for no genuine reason. The barest minimum is done when “The businesses cancel” totally disrupting plans of stinters with an “Oops mail” but when the stinters cancel; The consequences are of an insane magnitude. Or the app reassigning jobs for no good reason. You don’t get paid the next day by the way, you get paid the following week 🙄

I really wouldn’t recommend this. I can’t even comment on how well this whole system works because I literally waited more than 6 months now just to get a stint and once I applied , it didn’t go through. So yeah don’t waste your time. Maybe people might have better luck in another city? This is in Newcastle.
