Quickly turn your mobile device into a scanner with our easy-to-use mobile app.

Use your smartphone to scan and bag your groceries while you shop.

Create your ScanIt! Wallet and add your preferred methods of payment; 
Apple Pay, PayPal and Venmo are all accepted as well as all major US Credit Cards.

When you’re done shopping, press the checkout button and proceed to the ScanIt! Mobile Checkout Area.
When the light turns Green, you’re on your way!

Prefer to use one of our in-store devices?  That’s ok.  Shop with an in-store device.  When you’re done, open the ScanIt! Mobile app, press Checkout and proceed to the ScanIt! Mobile Checkout.

### *---- "App ok when it works, “when” is the key word. TERRIBLE support."
Not sure why my reviews for this app disappeared but the app is terrible. Why no updates in 3 months? Like others I can no longer connect to wifi since ios18. Why is there no login? Only way to login is to add a coupon which prompts the login. What’s the point of storing my payments since that feature doesnt work?

### ****- "Works well for me, but Big Y’s app is better"
I rarely had problems with this app. Unlike so many reviews here, it’s worked well for me most of the time.
I just used Big Y’s app for the first time. Nicer experience. Your debit or credit card is kept in the system so when you check out, you just scan a QR code and allow it to use your saved method of payment. Much easier and faster. I wish Stop & Shop had it. I might start doing more shopping at Big Y.

I’ve used this app for about 2 years. Lately, like starting around September 2024 the app keeps loosing connectivity to the store WiFi. App freezes which then means you have to reopen and resume. It happens every few scans. So unstable. In this day and age they should fix the darn app. It’s pathetic.

### **--- "Love it!! (When it works)"
Absolutely love using this app and being able to blow through the register. BUT, for the past month (as of 9/28/24) I can’t use internet while shopping. So texts of “is pork shoulder the same as pork butt” can’t go through unless I turn off WiFi. Then I have to reopen the app and resume shopping. I don’t know if it’s a store specific problem or not but it’s really annoying. Also, I kind of wish that coupons thing was easier to get to and worked the way the Stop & Shop app did, e.g. searchable. But I love being able to see what I’m spending as I go, seeing the discounts come off, using it to price check, and of course breeze through the register area.
Edit: it’s over a month later now and the app doesn’t work at all. Ridgewood NJ stop n shop hasn’t had a good shopping experience with this app since early summer ‘24.

Recently, the app has been freezing on me, to the point where I have to close it out and restart. Not sure what happened, but I hope you can fix it!

### ****- "The Most Recent Update"
I think the most recent update did something to this app. I’m using an iPhone SE (2020 model) with iOS version 17.6.1. The last three times I tried to use it, it would freeze any time I scanned an item and added it to my cart. I’m always having to force close the app and then restart it. I did consider uninstalling then reinstalling the app, but I wouldn’t want to try something so drastic just yet. In any case, I think the that the team behind this app should look into it.

As for the app itself, usually it works like it’s supposed to, and it’s convenient if you don’t want to use the hand scanners. However, I can only give it four stars because of a single flaw (though, this is more about the mobile checkout system itself): if anything goes wrong (e.g.: an item didn’t scan correctly, or your checkout gets “audited” as they call it), then mobile checkout won’t be available at all, and you’ll only get a barcode. You’ll then have to use either a regular self-checkout, or do it the old fashioned way (with a cashier). Also, it may just be me, but I don’t think digital coupons are available either when using it.

Overall, it’s not really as bad as other reviews make it sound, at least in my experience. Also, while any kind of self-checkout is convenient, be sure to support the cashiers too.

The app worked great for years. The last update now makes the app freeze after each scan. So you have to close it and open it to scan a new item.

### *---- "Constantly Bombing"
This app works for about 15 minutes but as I continue to shop, the app stops; I relaunch; and then it asks if I want to start over or resume. It gets tedious as this happens between every single item I scan. The last few times I shopped, I had to go to customer service for the receipt. 
I've tried deleting and reinstalling but I end up in a circle of "account doesn't exist" even after using the "forgot password" feature. Literally seconds after establishing a new password I can't sign in because "account doesn't exist."  This app is garbage and I don't understand why it's so difficult to make it work right.
