I signed up for the trial. It charged me full price that day. Apple wouldn’t refund. I also contacted the company. They would not help either. Their response states they are willing to try to resolve the issue, but I have been in contact with them, and they are not.
This app provides 15-20 minute summaries of popular non-fiction (plus a few fiction) books. It is great to be able to grasp the essence of a title during a one-way commute to work. Sometimes, the StoryShots will inspire me to dig deeper and find the complete text. Although the narration voices sound a bit robotic, they are generally pleasant and easy to understand. I highly recommend.
please add dark mood for reading at night.
I have another app that charges more annually than what StoryShots charges for 2 lifetime memberships… duh…no brainer!!! The customer service is so fast and efficient! Hands down, I would strongly recommend.
Love the app. Paid for lifetime access but pop-up ads drive me nuts. When they appear, I can’t close them so I need to restart the app. Please don’t add ad to an account that has already paid for the full ap.
Attempted to create account. Sends me an email that I’m supposed to click link on. Link goes back to the app where it asks me to input my email address. That sends me to my email with link that sends me back to the app asking for email again in an infinite loop.

The wide variety of summaries available caters to whatever mood I'm in or whatever activity I'm doing. My reading experience with the app has been great, with its personalized recommendations and intuitive UI make it easy to find what I want. It's like the app knows exactly what I need—be it highlighting nuggets of wisdom, jotting down my thoughts, or sharing inspiring quotes on social media. The offline reading feature is perfect for my daily commute to the office when cellular coverage is spotty. Being able to listen to book summaries while commuting, walking or doing everyday tasks has been such a big productivity booster. It feels great learning new things everyday. I was oin the fence about whether I would find value here, but super glad to have got my lifetime membership. I now have access to insights from a plethora of bestsellers and it feels like I've hit the jackpot of knowledge. StoryShots has become my daily companion on my journey of growth and self-improvement. It's the tool that anyone with a thirst for knowledge should have in their arsenal. Hats off to Farid and the Team at StoryShots for such a great idea and App!
Just what I needed
I read the description of “so many books” so I purchased the annual membership. 30 minutes later after searching many books I wanted - they had none of them so I asked to cancel my subscription (an hour later). Was told no and that “you can’t return a dress after you take the tags off can you?” Never been talked to that way from a company! Sad and disappointing
