When you embark on a StoryTour, you will experience the narrative in the very spot where the action takes place. The app uses GPS to guide you from one place to another, and once you get there an interaction will be triggered to pop up on your mobile phone screen. Depending on the story, it can be anything from old images of what this spot used to look like, to sounds, puzzles or animations that will tie reality and story together.

Through the StoryTourist app you will be able to find out what your favourite fictional places look, smell and sound like.

Lund tour

It leads to such a wonderful route. Passed quiet and beautiful houses and parks, where I will never know without this app. Got so surprised the the city barely changed in recent 200+ years, guess that’s why Lund is a attractive place comparing with Malmö. The story and mini game are nice as well. Looks forward to try the other trip!

Historical fiction & fun - no 🧢

Being a product of my parents’ passion for family vacations at historical landmarks I can state that historical walks rank down there with riding down a hot metal slide with your skin exposed. I reluctantly downloaded the app and a story about Visby with the expectation to not complete my journey and maybe just end at a bar with my wife. To my surprise I survived and my wife and I found unexpected sites and sights that gave us a better understanding and context to the history of the city. All in all it was a fun hour or so with a few side stops around the town. The storytelling was a little cliché and dragged on at times. It catered to a younger audience, but it was informative and engaging. Let me know if you need a voice actor.
