It's played on a 6x8 grid of letters, where the goal is to find themed words by connecting letters that are adjacent or diagonal to each other. Words can form in winding paths, but each letter can only be used once per word. The unique twist of Stranded is a key word that connects two opposite sides of the board and embodies the puzzle's theme. Players also earn hints by finding non-themed words, making it easier to identify the themed words as they go along. The game offers unlimited challenges, and the theme is often hinted at rather than directly stated, adding an element of mystery. It’s a blend of word search with more strategy, similar to popular theme grouping games but more complex in its path-based word finding.
