Streaks Reviews

The power of habits

AtomicMegaNerd on

Canada

Our daily and weekly habits, consistently applied over a long period of time, can transform our life. This app helps me to cultivate the keystone habits for the core areas of my life that I really care about. The app is fairly priced, simple, well designed, and a joy to use. I owe the author(s) of this app a debt of gratitude. Thank you!

Best app and business model

rachikb on

Canada

This app do everything you need. You can add widgets, and have it in the menu bar with a changing icon showing your progress. The business model is pay once and use it forever. This is wonderful. As soon as I saw that, I bought it immediately. The other apps with subscription are missing a lot of clients. I will never buy a subscription.

Simplistic

Zhooliganx123 on

Does not seem to have a trial period. Does not have a way to create and view categories of habits, other than choosing an icon and a colour. This does not enable one to set goals for particular life areas. If all you want is to track disjoint habits it might work for you.

Not worth the price

p-azad on

Canada

If you exceed your goal, such as reading for an hour when the target is 30 minutes, there's no way to record this extra effort.

Cloud sync across devices is effectively useless

ddstudy on

Canada

I purchased this app on all my apple devices (MacBook 2024, Apple Watch series 10 and iPhone 15). I expected to be able to, e.g., track my water consumption throughout the day by incrementing my goal on whichever device I have on hand after drinking a glass of water. That’s fine, but the devices rarely, if at all, sync with each other. E.g., earlier today, I added on my phone 4 increments to my daily goal of 14 cups of water. I check my watch and my MacBook, and they’re not updated, despite cloud sync being enabled on all devices. It’s been nothing but frustration.

Crazy update 10.0.4

Old Pantoufle on

Canada

All my tasks suddenly doubled. And they have been re-arranged. Total mess, Thanks a bunch. PS: Now I see my data is also gone. Well done. For any other victimes of this update, you can re-import your data by going to Prefs > Manage Data > Backups and select the most recent that ran before the update. PPS: The next day many of my tasks again appeared TWICE. ie two icons etc. Others have disappeared. Incredible.

New Update Loses Some Luster

Kfed6767 on

Love the app, but with the new update the widget is no longer useful. I used to be able to click the checkmark and it would check off the task. Now I have to open the app in order to do that. Other than that I love that app.

A life changer

Perfect at what it does. Made my life better. Love it.

Too simple?

patchesrefit on

Hi hi, this app is good for tracking weekly streaks. That’s it. It’s got good integration with Apple Health and it is super simple and fun to use every day. But.. after a few weeks, one wants to view the data of the results of the work put in. Alas, there’s no way to compare the various task results, collate them into a larger calendar.. really there’s just no way to view more than one task’s calendar at a time. Argh. I’m out and back to habit tracker or others.. I’m out $8 CAD, but it was fun trying it out.

Simply Works

Al Kiar on

Canada

It’s really straightforward and simple to use. They focus a lot on the streaks aspect of habits and it does trigger some sort of response in me to keep it going even when I feel tired or unmotivated. Works way better than any other habit tracking app but I wish there was an optional map display of seeing your progress with your habits (for example if I keep a 20 day streak, I’d see on the map I’m 25% of the way to reaching my ultimate goal or etc.)
