Strobe Light Tachometer

Outstanding app. Very accurate strobe for timing the frame rates for zoetropes. The flashes are clean also, which gives crisp animations. I actually like how the flash is not overly bright — this shields my zoetrope animations from over exposure. I am stunned that this superb app is free. I will check the author’s web page to see if there is a option to submit a donation.

Each Hertz is equal to 60 cycles per minute! 10 Hz equals 600 cycles per minute!! I love using this strobe light as it has the exact Hertz setting!

Needs a fix to make the strobe flash at even rates.

We just had our centrifuge calibrated by an ISO 17025 accredited lab. It was recorded at 2515 RPM and this app reads 2664. That’s out of specification for us.

Ruined it by putting an add in the control box. I before paid too. What a joke.

Used to diagnose lathe speed, from 55 - 2000 rpm. Good at faster speeds; maybe a little doubtful around 60 rpm. Used a separate digital laser scope to verify. Like the ability to adjust strobe manually.

The strobe light is too dim. And on my iphone8 it will not stay adjusted to the bright end of the scale. Everything Thing Else Works Fine. Please Help!

ZERO STARS — I tried and tried and tried and tried, but it will not work on my iPhone SE! It doesn’t even try to work, even though I have the flashlight app that came with the phone!

I don’t know if it is the app or my iPhone XS, but the strobe pulse is not consistent. It misses beats and varies in brightness.

Very helpful in getting my lathe and drill press speeds right.
