Can’t get my paid subscription
I immediately fell in love with it. 💗💗💗
Another Big Data instrument, suddenly locks you out of paid subscriptions unless you subjugate to platform giving up your privacy rights. Email and password isn’t enough these days just to read a newsletter?!
The first issue I had was that my phone was too “old” - eh didn’t have the most recent iOS. Recently upgraded to a new phone and was looking forward to using this app which is encouraged on the platform. Well it’s rubbish. I get a bunch in my feed I don’t want to read. Many bot accounts only interested in follow4follow. Worst thing is I can’t create any content except silly notes that no one reads - I wanted to be able to write and publish proper posts. A waste of time - will stick to the desktop version.
Enjoying the app but every time I subscribe to someone it freezes up/crashes & I have to delete and reinstall to get it functioning again! Frustrating!

I love the content this app brings together. Unfortunately, the app has an awkward user interface and is routinely buggy (eg, it won’t let me open certain podcast episodes and tends to repeat play the exact same episode, regardless of which one I select). If I could access my subscription content on another app like PocketCasts or the iOS podcasts app, I would stop using this one.
Oh geez.. This app suffers the same frustrating behaviour as FB. When you navigate away from the app for 30 minutes to take care of other business the app shifts focus to the home page and you lose your place. It’s very awkward to find your way back to the article you were on previously. Pretty stupid feature for an app that promotes the long form.
Excited to find Substack, love the concept and enjoy much of the writing. Don’t enjoy being urged to subscribe and upgrade. Surely that’s my choice.
Can’t verify number, doesn’t allow me to add 0 numeric as part of verify number to read free articles
