Thanks for listening substack developers.
Super cool. I raised an issue, gave one star and deleted the app. A couple of weeks later I try again. The issue has been resolved in this version. So I changed my review to the 5 stars the app deserves. <3
Root cause analysis
Excellent stuff thanks Albert!
Something is seriously wrong
Have tried multiple times to download the app onto ipad. All i get is a page with writing type icons which does nothing. WTF guys
Love the idea but
No you do not need my full name and picture!! Surveillance state, no thanks! Deleted.
Constantly pushing stuff I don’t follow onto me
This app is fairly rough overall. Seems to lack respect for who I follow and constantly pushes me to other content creators. When I start listening to an article a little window shows up with a bunch of other videos instead of the actual article I’m listening to. After the article finished playing, it often plays someone completely random instead of the next unread article in my inbox.
Can’t update, can’t open
Great app right until now. When opening I’m told to update, and can’t use it, however when tapping update the App Store tells me that it isn’t available in my country/region.

Both an enlightening and depressing read
The only clear winners after 200 days would appear to be Landlords - a well represented lobby group within the Coalition Government.
Dirty and underhanded
I clicked the link in a Substack email I subscribed to saying “you unlocked this free post” only to be told to download the app to unlock it. I download the app only to be told that to read it I would also have to give my phone number. Who knows what they’d have wanted next. Very dirty and underhanded, so I’ve decided to delete my app, my account, and never use substack again.
