Substack Reviews

Different Payment Method.

This app is by far the best I've used. The community is wholesome. I enjoy using it, it's like my go-to app instead of other soul-sucking platforms. But, I would like to address my issue that I am not able to turn on the paid subscriptions as I don't have a Stripe account. The Philippines (Where I reside) is not part of stripe's coverage. I would really appreciate it if we can use other payment options as I want to continue using Substack as a platform where I write and also read.

When you try to enter your number and send the codes to verify your mobile number it doesn't proceed.

Would’ve been a really nice reading app if it didn’t crash every time I try to search something

make paypal a secondary payment method pls >:(

stripe isn't even available for people in the Philippines to use as a payment method. what's the point if individuals in the PH who want to use Substack can't even toggle on the paid subscription because stripe can't fathom expanding to our country?? it's so unfair. fix this please!

True , factual reporting on Substack !!

I hope I can write in the app too

Hi. I’ve been enjoying publishing my personal writing on substack recently. The only thing I wish I can enjoy is to write in the app using my mobile phone too. There are times when I think of some thoughts/ideas and I want to immediately write them down for substack, but I have to go to my Notes app for that, when what I really want to do is go straight to substack and create a draft right away so I’ll know that certain topic is something I wanna share in my substack profile. I hope you get what I mean. I’m slowly liking the app especially that I get to write in length about my thoughts. It feels like a journal. Thanks and more power to the developers.

Great content with awful nagging app

App user guy man on

So many great authors on substack. Too bad the app developers have chosen to make it a giant tool for annoying email spam notifications OR nag you constantly in the app for notifications. I don’t want my attention stolen and diverted like this - respect that. Stop popping up requesting I turn on notifications. It’s gross and annoying and there’s no way to turn it off. It’s completely antithetical to what they preach as a business.

Substack still freezes when…

When adding a new subscription, this app freezes on iPhone, necessitating offloading and reinstalling every time.

Up to date, honest news

With so much censorship of digital media, it’s nice to know I can get my news from an honest source. Thank you for your time.
