## Suica Description
東日本旅客鉄道株式会社(JR東日本)が提供するSuicaをApple Payで利用するためのアプリです。Suicaの発行やチャージ、定期券の購入もアプリで完結します。スマホを「かざすだけ」で鉄道・バスの乗車やキャッシュレス決済をスムーズにご利用いただけます。「JRE POINT」に登録すれば、JR東日本の鉄道に乗るとポイントが貯まります。また、貯まったポイントをSuicaにチャージすることも可能です。

【Suicaアプリケーションでできること】
iPhone*とクレジットカードがあればSuicaアプリで簡単にキャッシュレス生活を始められます。お手元にSuicaカードがなくても、Suicaアプリにて新規発行することが可能です。Suicaカードをお持ちの場合は、iPhoneでApple Payに取り込んで利用できます。iPhoneとペアリングすることで、Apple Watch*でも利用可能です。

入会金、年会費、デポジット等はいただきません。
* iPhone 8以降のiPhone、Apple Watch Series 3以降のApple Watch、日本国内で発売されたiPhone 7及びApple Watch Series 2の機種が対象です。

決済手段は下記の2つが選べます。
・ Suicaアプリケーションに登録のクレジットカード*
・ Apple Payに設定したクレジットカード
　* ビューカードを登録いただくと「オートチャージ」も設定できます

【！】 端末を変更・交換する時は、以下の操作が必要です。
・ iPhoneは、旧端末のWalletで全てのSuicaを「削除」し、新端末で同じApple IDにサインイン後、Walletで「Suicaを追加」してください。
・ Apple Watchは、ペアリングを解除する前にiPhoneのWatch appまたはApple WatchのWalletで全てのSuicaを「削除」し、同じApple IDにサインインしているiPhoneと新端末をペアリング後、Watch appで「Suicaを追加」してください。
・Apple社製端末以外からの変更は、予め旧端末での手続きが必要です。iPhone/Apple WatchではSuicaを未設定のApple IDでサインインしお受け取りください。

【！】 Suicaのエクスプレスカード設定を忘れずに
生体認証なしで自動改札を通るには「エクスプレスカード設定」が必要です。交通利用以外では生体認証が必要な場合があります。

■ JRE POINT
「JRE POINT」にモバイルSuicaを登録することで、対象のJRE POINT加盟店やJR東日本の鉄道のご利用でポイントが貯まります。特に鉄道のご利用では、カードタイプのSuicaよりも多くポイントが貯まるのでおトクです。

■ タッチでGo!新幹線
Suicaアプリケーションで「タッチでGo!新幹線」のご利用登録が可能（Suicaカードの取り込みでも設定が引き継がれます）。チャージ残高で新幹線の自由席にご乗車いただけます（事前の予約は不要）。

■ 新幹線eチケットサービス
「えきねっと」に会員登録し、SuicaをICカード情報に登録すると、券売機やみどりの窓口できっぷを受け取ることなく、JR東日本の各新幹線をチケットレスでご利用いただけます。早めのお申込みでおトクな「えきねっとトクだ値」「お先にトクだ値」もご利用可能です。

■ エクスプレス予約
別途ご登録いただくことでとJR東海「エクスプレス予約」もご利用いただけます（有料サービス）。

Just FYI, if you’re a tourist to Japan and you want to add a Suica to your iPhone, you don’t need to use this app any more.  Just open Wallet, tap + and then select Travel Pass and find Suica in the list.  You can still use the app if you want, but you don’t need to - it’s mostly for Japanese residents wanting to do more advanced tasks.

Now that you no longer need an iPhone or Apple Watch purchased in Japan to add your Suica card to your device (supported for iPhone 8 and newer models, and Watch Series 3) - JR East need to update this app with language localisation.

I’d strongly encourage JR East to offer localisation based on the installed language, especially in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

It will really assist tourists arriving in Japan, by no longer needing to purchase a physical Suica card - making things faster by reducing wait time at counters or
machines to initially purchase and/or load value (especially being able to load value from an Apple Pay supported card without navigating or waiting at a reload machine), and also reduce the environmental impact from plastics being disposed if a physical card isn’t refunded or kept as a memento of a trip.

It also means that cards can be registered, without having to learn Japanese; making things easier if they lose their phone, etc.
