Sun Seeker is a comprehensive solar tracking & compass app. It shows the sun’s hourly direction intervals, its equinoxes, winter & summer solstice paths, sunrise & sunset times, twilight times, shadowed periods, UV Index, solar irradiance, golden and blue hours, eclipses & more. The app allows you to add sun-event notifications & has a widget and watch app showing the day’s solar data & position on an arc. The 3D View shows the solar direction for each sunlight hour. Sun Seeker has both a flat compass view & a 3D Augmented Reality (AR) view to show the solar position & path.

* Sun Seeker is a sun locator which uses GPS, magnetometer & gyroscope to find the correct solar position & sun path for your current location.
* Flat compass view shows current solar position, diurnal solar angle & elevation (separated into day & night segments), sun shadow length ratio, atmospheric path thickness.
* 3D augmented reality (AR) camera overlay view shows the sun's current position, and it's path with hour points marked. Lovely app - Celsius, please!
Love this app and use it almost daily. Living in Europe, one thing I miss is the option to show temperature in Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.

God app. som viser solens position ethvert sted i verden på et valgt tidspunkt. Brugerfladen er let at forstå og grafikken pæn. Præcisionen er god, efter at have testet app’en i praksis. Hvis du skal købe ny ejendom er appen uundværlig til at se hvor lys boligen er.
A useful photo app
I use this app for landscape photography, and it’s great for finding the right time of year and day to get the right direction of sunlight in your shots. Also, you can easily store the gps coordinates for your favourite locations once you’re in the field. These are the main reasons why I find the app useful. Additionally, with the AR feature, you can use the camera to see the position of the sun and its path on the sky, letting you know the sun height at any given time while you’re in the field. This way you can see when the sun will descend below a group of mountains, how long time you can preserve shadow at a location you use for shooting portraits etc etc. If similar informations were available without having to go to the actual location, I would give the app five stars. It would be very useful if you’re considering a shoot far from where you live. The user interface is ok but may take a bit of practice getting used to.
