SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS:

• Download the app to enjoy a sampling of free stories each month. For full access, try a free month of Unlimited Digital Access to the app, the Sun Sentinel website, and our eNewspaper; then it's only $19.99 a month. Make sure to create a registration while in the app so you'll be able to log in to the website and eNewspaper when you visit them in web browsers.
• Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable
• Your subscription automatically renews each month unless auto-renew is turned off within your Account Settings at least 24-hours before the end of the current period.
• Your iTunes account will be charged $19.99 for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period.

I am a paying customer and read the SS through the app. I can no longer read the stories because the ads pop up and are aggressive- there seems to be no way to avoid them. No matter how many times I hot “close” or the cross mark, they come right back immediately. Also, the SS doesn’t update the news stories very often. Thus is South Florida and there is a lot going on but the SS stories don’t reflect this.

I’ve always wanted to support local news but the app is beyond frustrating.  I can confirm many of the recent reviews that ads dominate the landscape and pop open constantly. They also take several efforts to close.  As a paid subscriber I don’t see why I should be barraged in this way.  It’s now impossible to read articles on an iPhone.  Will be looking for an alternative local paper to subscribe to.

Long time customer. Hate to desert local media but I will be cancelling my subscription and moving to a competitor due to the obnoxious popups that make it impossible to read an article. Your IT leaves much to be desired. I have dealt with it for years but the latest popups make it unbearable.
