Elegant

Microfoo77 on

Beautiful and immensely practical companion app to a beautiful and immensely practical core program/application. Still in the beginning stages of trying it out as someone with severe ADHD, but so far it shows a wonderful amount of promise and the interface itself is gorgeous without distracting and streamlined but powerful. At first I worried it’d be too expensive but the more I learn and explore and implement these workflows the more I see where that money goes. The creators should be very proud of themselves, and I can’t wait to see how Sunsama evolves.

One of my absolute favorite apps of all time

Lynette D on

Sunsama absolutely revolutionized how I organize and plan my day. I love that it optimizes for shortcuts. It integrates beautifully with so many other tools I use. The timers and stats have been incredibly helpful.I just adore absolutely everything about this app. I primarily use the desktop but often use my phone if I’m on the go. I’ve even started using Sunsama for my personal tasks. It’s so thoughtfully designed and I love the ability to customize the colors in the app.

Changes to the app

richardbucket on

This was a 5 star app for me, however, when I went to sign up for a subscription things changed a bit. I noticed that when I enter a task now an actual time has to be put on each task and once that time passes the task is no longer in its place. I think this is because when you arrange your tasks it’s delayed in updating and could revert back. I prefer the task to remain and then roll over if not completed. Also, using a desktop for the app wasn’t required previously and I’m not sure why that’s a thing and also should be optional but it’s not terrible I guess. I loved the app and recommended it in my ADHD groups because it was so great, but with the changes I’m not sure how anyone else will feel.

Companion app to an amazing piece of software

Rtloeffler on

The companion app continues to improve over time and they even have an iPad version which works pretty good. I am rating this on the overall software capabilities and not just the iOS app. Overall without the companion and additional web/desktop app, my work/life balance would be much harder to achieve. This is not a to do list app, this is a daily and weekly planner app.

Amazing, except for one big item and one small item

Aeroplane star 2014 on

I’ve tried some other planners before and between them being clunky due to them not being designed for what Sunsama does. Based on the small amount of time that I’ve had using this, I am pleased generally with the functionality offered. However there is one really large omission that prevents me from giving it a five star review: there is no integration that I have been able to find with iCloud calendar which is what I use for the majority of events (it is possible to overcome this in some ways, but this is a feature that would be tremendous to add). The other thing is that it’s annoying that you are forced to sign in using either google or outlook when I’d prefer to use Sign in with Apple or just create an account directly with Sunsama. I’m still a trial customer but I’m intending to modify my review once the trial ends to see if anything new has come up from my use of the application.

Tried everything and this is the app that finally changed my life

I love this app. It’s the first app that works for me after many sad failed attempts to use productivity apps like asana click up Trello etc

Great product, NO customer support

If you want to commit to it, need to be cautious. I signed up and had some issue, sent an email to support. After two emails, no response at all. Great product otherwise.

Good App. Poorly Priced

rawmoxologist on

I recently started a two-week trial of Sunsama after using Todoist, Notion, and Things 3. Despite the lack of extensive online discussions about Sunsama, its mention in a YouTube video piqued my interest. However, the $20 monthly fee initially deterred me. Considering I've invested similarly in Asana and Notion for their unique robust features, I decided to give Sunsama a try. While impressed with the app, I find the subscription cost steep compared to its competitors. I believe a lower price point, perhaps around $10, would be more reasonable and competitive. To the Sunsama team, as a fellow business owner, I understand the challenge of pricing. Your product has potential, but its current price may hinder its success. Consider a more competitive pricing strategy. For context, Todoist is at $5, and Asana at $20. Sunsama surpasses Todoist but doesn’t match the advanced features of Asana or NotionAI. A fair price would be between $7 to $10. I urge you to quickly adjust your pricing to better reflect its market position. Despite this, I appreciate the app's design and functionality, earning it three stars from me. A pricing reevaluation could greatly enhance its market success.

Phone functionality is a bummer

Urrrggh on

I love this platform so much. It’s been life changing for me, but I often work from my phone and it’s mind blowing how limited planning from the mobile app is. When I’m around my computer regularly, it’s the best thing in my life, but once I have a stretch of time working from mobile, all momentum goes down the drain. I am hoping for this feature to be released soon because it is starting to feel silly to pay so much when I can’t use it properly half of the time.
