Sunshine Village Banff Reviews
Works well enough
My family and I love to compare days of vertical, surface distance and total runs against our previous days. Works well for that. Improvements needed are true weather (temp and wind) at base and top of peaks. Also a speed tracker like other ski apps.
EXCELLENT!
GPS tracking as you ski away is so fun to look back on, incl the 3D map! Distance time and celocity of your travels! Weather updates, groomed trails. So much thought went into this app, our family very impressed!
Love the latest additions
Love the new tracking functionality especially the 3D map. Gives a whole new perspective to the terrain!
Glitchy and doesn’t work well
If the app wasn’t glitchy and actually worked it would be awesome. Bought mobile cards and was a nightmare to configure.
Needs iOS 13
Does not work on older phones, despite what it says in the description
Weather conditions
Love the App. Interface could use some modernization, but it does the job. Only real complaint is the daily weather conditions. “todays” weather always shows 0 degrees and doesn’t show the low temp. Likely a simple fix with the data feed. Get the weather conditions dialled in, and it’s a 5 ⭐️ app:)
Review
To many flat parts
Difficult to load Supercard
I bought a mobile super card and with the code was not able to activate in the app. I had to make several calls and still not resolved. I would just buy the plastic card next time.☹️
We will be back!
Really nice ! Nice snow park with jumps and rails . My 14 boy was in park the whole week ! We slept in Banff during the week and on the mountain Lodge for the week - end!
Poor app. Poor checkout system.
First, the checkout system on your website needs an overhaul. I only say this as I design websites. You need to put more instructions in the labels so people know exactly how you want the data entered as right now, it’s a guessing game. Took three times before I realized you don’t want spaces in your postal code. There is NO indication in the error page of what field needs to be corrected. It’s also possible to have a warning message pop up when data is entered incorrectly and highlight the field.
Second, the 10 digit code I received to create a ticket in the mobile app is in fact an 11 digit code. That is what came on my receipt. I have tried serval variations to get it to accept into the app and of course, it is not working. I suggest in the off-season you sit down with your IT and do a more user-friendly version of this entire system. It is a headache.
