It has been specially tailored for the customers and installers. Using the Sunsynk Logger app with your Sunsynk inverter gives you complete remote control of your system from anywhere in the world! Real-time Monitoring – The Sunsynk Logger App lets you monitor multiple stats such as energy generation, battery status, grid, and load statistics. Change Settings Remotely - You can control all settings on the inverter from your mobile phone or PC without having to visit the inverter in person. Sharing Plant Connection - Customers can share their connection with their installer, permanently or temporarily. If they need help with any settings or configuration on their system, or if the installer needs to run any diagnostic checks, there is no need to visit site. The customer can share their plant connection and the installer can run any diagnostics / make any configuration changes from their own account. Octopus Agile Intergration - UK users can use the Live Price feature, using this you can look at the live prices provided by Octopus Energy and amend your charge and discharge prices with those figures in mind. Reporting – Users can generate detailed reports and export them to a PDF file. You can generate reports an that day, week, month, and year, or you can create custom reports. It gets worse- the team that used to be on call to help, have now reversed themselves behind the app:which doesn’t work! So, you can’t contact them for help. The worry is that your utilities provider doesn’t get the energy readings from your system… and no savings. I’ve spent nearly £30k on my system. Until I’m logged out again. As for functionality goes it’s okay, apart from making any changes to the inverter in the settings. You can only change one thing at a time, as doing multiple changes will not be saved or transmitted to the inverter. I understand that new servers went online a few months ago and since my system went live, the App has been reliable all the time except for yesterday when it was offline with connection issues for a few hours. A quick online call to Sunsynk support via the online web informed me that they were aware. You also need to invest a little time to explore functionality, again like all apps of this nature. This app that partners the system, despite the developers claims, is clearly designed for installers, not end users. Its numerous different pages, embedded and hidden menus, are completely overwhelming and also completely unnecessary for the normal user. If it was designed for the normal user, then the first pages would be battery charging and solar export controls, in an easy and understandable to use, jargon free format. The developer should really consider providing a different app which is only for home owners. This current app probably has more than 95% information on it that is not necessary, or of any use to the home owner. Unless you actually need remote control of your inverter and battery, it is much easier to use the system menus on the inverter box itself. This app is to be avoided, unless you are an installer. The app is also plagued by multiple down times when it does not connect with the inverter anyway. Also, when the app recovers from a downtime, it sometimes seems to reset the battery charge and battery timer settings. This has happened to me twice now, and I have had to go back into the menus on the inverter box and turn back on the timer for charging at a cheap rate tarif, and switch on the solar export option again.
