## Superimpose X Description
Superimpose X is a serious photo editor, and the editor is yours with the app — layers,
masks, blend modes, brushes, effects, shadows, text and precision tools, with no
subscription to use any of it.

When you want more, two studios are built right in and unlock with a subscription: an AI
Editor that generates and transforms images, and a true multi-track Video Editor.

THE PHOTO EDITOR

Build complex edits by hand with the control of a desktop app and none of the complexity.
Cut out people and objects, combine images, paint masks, adjust colour, add depth and
shadow, then refine every detail.

• Layer-based editing with up to 24 layers
• Magic Wand, Magic Lasso, brush and shape masks
• 18 blend modes and 16 adjustment layers
• Non-destructive layer blur and adjustments
• 63 photo effects, plus clarity, colour, tone and detail controls
• Text and curved text
• Motion, Zoom, Spin, Lens and Selective Blur, and gradients
• Warp, perspective transform and distortion
• Paint, smudge, clone stamp and effect brushes
• Shadow and Light Wrap tools
• Camera fill with real-time masks and blend modes
• Masking Library for reusable cutouts and stickers
• Session Library that saves your projects automatically
• PSD export with layers
• Over a million royalty-free stock photos

AI EDITOR

Start from a photo, a sketch or a sentence and let AI do the heavy lifting, then take the
result back into the layer editor to finish it properly.

• Image generation from text
• AI editing and inpainting
• Background creation and replacement
• Outpainting and image expansion
• Enhance, relight and repair
• Sketch to image
• Headshot generation
• Face swap
• Image to image transformation
• Image to video
• AI people masking

VIDEO EDITOR

A real multi-track editor, not a template filler.

• Edit video, images, audio and text on multiple tracks
• Stack effects and animations for results that are yours
• Masks for precise work, including green screen
• Track objects through a shot and ramp clip speed
• Animate text with elegant presets
• Split, trim, rotate and freeze clips
• Colour effects, blurs and distortions
• Audio EQ, filters and transitions
• Royalty-free photos, videos, music and GIFs
• Export in a range of formats, including GIF

ONE APP, ONE PROJECT

The three studios share the same project. Composite a frame in the photo editor and drop
it on the timeline. Generate a background with AI and mask it by hand. Pull a still out of
a video and edit it as layers. Nothing is exported and re-imported just to move between
them.

## Superimpose X Reviews in United States

### ***** "Best editing app ever"
Better than photoshop.
-- Hehwhieodowoodijjrjwna, 2025-01-08

### ***** "Desert Island App"
This app is so easy to use, has so many features including access to stock images and does most if not all of what more expensive and resource hungry apps do.
-- The LeelaVerse, 2025-01-07

### *---- "Don’t waste your time."
I’ve used the premium version of this app for years. Both for professional and personal projects. Recently, there was an update that stripped the masking toolset. You can no longer mask one color on a single layer, so I can’t integrate company logos over backgrounds. The toolset used to allow for complex editing, but all of that has been either stripped or replaced with AI tools that work as well as one would expect.

I just don’t understand why you would strip such vital functions from an app that worked so well. If I wanted to remove the white background from a logo to make a transparent overlay, I could do it with ease. Not sure what else is missing; haven’t even explored further into the problem.
-- ry8645, 2025-01-01

### ***** "Great app"
I really love using SuperimposeX. I’ve been using it for years now and I never have any problem export my projects. There are so many great tools in this app for a reasonable price!
-- Maryy J., 2025-01-01

### ***** "Beast app"
This is a beast app that you can have. Thank you!!
-- jhacass, 2024-12-30

### ***** "Cool"
Pretty cool dude
-- Islanders'Colisemyt, 2024-12-26

### ***** "Love Superimpose and have for years."
This app is incredible for quick, photoshop-esque editing tricks. I’ve used it for professional work and personal projects alike, and it’s always been easy to use. I find myself on it messing around just for fun sometimes. There are practically endless tools and once you get the hang of it you start to realize how powerful it is.

Can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to throw together graphics or photo edits. Heck, I’ve used it to make cards and labels and stickers too.
-- metrichor, 2024-12-23

### ***** "Wonderful great"
Best ever Great
-- EZ QUICK, 2024-12-22

### *---- "Bad update"
The AI face swap update is terrible now. It’s less accurate now. Please change it back
-- MisterMikester, 2024-12-18

### ***** "Love it"
Easy to use. Great results!
-- DrMbogo, 2024-12-18
