Supernatural FAQ
Is Supernatural free?
Yes, Supernatural is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Supernatural legit?
🤔 The Supernatural app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I love supernatural but I wish I could turn off the instructors sometimes. When I work out at home it’s because I don’t want to go to the gym and I don’t want to be social, just let me workout without having to watch trainers fake being excited 😫. It’s also hard to hear them sometimes during the workout so it’s just extra noise. Skipping the warmup and cooldown without missing the first song should also be an option. Changing the color of the bats & targets would be nice. I started in 2020 so they have had ample time for the upgrades.
I Love Supernatural!!
It’s so much fun that I actually look forward to working out, and this keeps me consistent in my workouts, much easier to put on the VR headset than having to drive to the gym.
It’s set in Beautiful places, easy to learn; absolutely a great app.
Crashing

Wow! Gorgeous scenery and so fun it feels easy
I have a few travel and nature VR apps on my Quest3, but the immersive exerience of Supernatural outperforms them *by far*. You are surrounded by brilliantly photographed high quality nature views in 360, and you can also use it lying down, but if you didn’t set it to lying down, you can lie down anyway and just enjoy the view, I like to gaze at the full moon and stars in one of the scenes. There is meditation if you want a guide, but sometimes I love the solitary experience in the vast beauty.
And what I love best about the workout is that you can select the level of exertion you want, and the coach whose style meshes best with you. (I love Leanne because she is explaining the physical goals and giving tips on what to do better - and it’s all spot on! And if I’m already doing it, I get to feel good, she has the most charming and supportive manner. But all the coaches broadcast energy and make you feel good. ) Leanne for instance maintains a gentle communication about how to move or position better, or how to fit movements to the music, and offers reminders to have physical fun.
Now the workouts… are just so fun. I am like the worst at exercising and in the past even when I’m enjoying it and building strength or stamina, I am still counting down the seconds or steps or reps until I am done. But with Supernatural, I want more! I am sweaty and stretched and it honestly felt effortless and like I just started. Their flow and boxing exercises are so engaging because there is (if you want) instruction how to engage your whole body and you get to smash things. Now, I still totally appreciate that Leanne tells us when we’re winding down a song, and cues us to end with strength and determination… because I’m still me, but now I am like, what, is it over already? Anyway, I love that.
I like how my applewatch can monitor my HR. I got one of those cheap but helpful headstrap back-of-the-head silicone pieces for comfort, and the inexpensive no-name silicon facemask edge cover for comfort and to prevent sweat from getting into the absorbent material,
I’d love if you could rewind or fast forward within a workout, or if there were a quick way to tag and go to favorite workouts (if there is, sorry I missed it). Or to favorite scenes tbh, I cannot express how impressive and stunning the scenes are. Also, I was delighted that they included a real 360 of Mars!
I’m going to go relax in the dramatic Alps a few minutes now, while listening to music (and letting so
iPhone app broke it
The workout was great until they required you to connect to their iPhone app to use it. My app tells me my account is connected however quest still says I have to connect to my account in order to use it. $20/month for something I can’t even use anymore. Good job breaking something that was working fine. I guess I’ll just start using my wife’s peloton at least you can count on that actually working when you want to get a quick workout.
Meta ruins everything
Hate the new “security” updates so much. I loved Supernatural, but they’ve changed so that there is no way to use my existing guest account. Customer support was just a long bot response. Canceling our subscription if they can’t provide a fix.
Worst Apple Watch App I’ve Ever Used
1. The Apple Watch app won’t start tracking your heart rate when you open it and hit Start Tracking. It’ll just show blank. I have to force quit the app a couple times to get it to start tracking.
2. Then it won’t STOP tracking unless you manually hit stop even when you’ve finished your workout. It’ll just stay on your screen all day unless you stop it.
3. Even after I hit “Stop Tracking” the app KEEPS popping up in my watch CONSTANTLY. I force quit it or go to Home Screen and it KEEPS REOPENING.
It’s absolutely maddening how terrible this Apple Watch app is. It’s like it’s designed to be the most annoying Apple Watch app ever created. I’ve had to manually remove it from my watch so it’ll stop reopening on my watch.
I have to use the Apple Watch built in workouts to track my Supernatural workouts because it’s so useless.
Developers: this is latest iPhone 15 Pro Max. 17.5 iOS version and a fresh install of the Supernatural app and Apple Watch app.
Overall I love
This makes working out insanely fun and is breathtakingly beautiful. The workouts breeze by so quickly. The only criticism I have is boxing, even shadow boxing, is fairly high impact. Because you can’t see yourself, it’s very easy to slip, duck, punch with improper form and actually hurt yourself while doing this workout. The slips can also be a little excessive and fast, even when doing an intermediate workout and I think that further increases the risk of injury. I say this as someone who has been boxing for years now and have pulled a muscle while using this app. They also stretch minimally before and after and there really should be more stretching as it would help decrease the chances of this happening. For those using the app, highly recommend you do additional stretching before taking a class in Supernatural.
Will NOT let me log in
I've been finding it quite challenging to engage with the app recently, especially since the latest update from Supernatural. It now requires every user to have an individual account, which has made it difficult for those of us sharing devices. For example, I don't own an Oculus headset, so logging into my Meta account would inconvenience the actual owner.
It's been six days since I last played, and while I understand the intent behind the update, I worry it might deter players. That said, I really must commend the customer service team, which has been wonderful throughout. I hope there might be a way to address these new login issues so that everyone can enjoy the game as intended. Thank you for your understanding and support!
The most painless cardio available
I’ve been a VR enthusiast for years, and recently began using supernatural. I previously would run 5 miles 4 times a week, then I adopted 2 young kids….and have packed on a few pounds. After repeatedly failing to get motivated, I gave supernatural a shot, and have been beyond impressed.
From the first session, it was clear this would be far less of a slog than traditional cardio, maybe even fun. Granted, the first few sessions were kind of tough, but after a couple weeks I was having a blast and looking forward to my workouts. The boxing and flow both provide great workouts, and compliment each other well.
After about 2 months I am going strong, and only have a few critiques. I have graduated to hard workouts and love a challenge. The pros only workouts are very demanding, but I wish there were more of them. My biggest complaint is the duration of the workouts. I try for about an hour 5 times a week. I usually break this into a few 20-30 min sessions, but am quickly running out of new hard workouts. Most seem to be 10-15 mins…I can stack them, but switching the menus and choosing takes time. Also, I don’t quite understand the scoring and point system. My accuracy is always over 99 percent even when I miss strokes, and I don’t understand the numerical score.
