Bought a laptop from here for work and it immediately came broken. Noted this to Swappa Staff and the company and after 3 months of the run around they both denied a refund even though they TOOK BACK THE LAPTOP. They kept my money AND my purchase and promised full refunds then weeks later took that back and told me if I wanted my money back I’d need to contact my bank who would no longer accept a dispute due to the time frame. DO NOT TRUST THIS APP OR THE COMPANIES ON HERE. THE APP ALLOWS COMPANIES TO STEAL YOUR MONEY.

I love Swappa, So good to see devices being resold and in a safe place. I’ve been purchasing from here for a while now. I’m super pleased with the devices I get.

On my iPhone 16, the screen keyboard didn’t display when I selected an input field. Consequently, I couldn’t even search for anything. (I entered this review on the same phone on the same day.) After closing and reopening the app, it worked.

Where to even begin? The app itself is positively abysmal. Half of its functionality is BROKEN. Photo uploads, form data saving, confirmations, the list goes on. Things will intermittently respond or not, will work or not, some functions are just plain lazily coded and so you have to work around things such as simple combo-boxes because you cannot “choose” when only one choice is possible and it’s filled by default. If you accidentally upload wrong pictures, or duplicate, you cannot ever delete any photo! You can hide it from being displayed but they now have that photo permanently. I’ve been selling online since 1998 (yup!), and this has been the most pathetic attempt at a platform I’ve yet experienced. One single test listing took 20 minutes just to the stage where I get to wait for it to be approved. My eBay listings typically take at most 5 minutes for a fresh product listing. Fellow sellers: just don’t bother wasting your time. Lower fees are not worth this shoddy experience, not to even mention seller protection who knows what to expect.

I bought a beautiful phone…that was not usable. Seller said it was locked to my carrier but it wasn’t. I fooled around for a month trying to work with the seller, my carrier and another carrier to get it unlocked. Swappa stood by me and their promises to keep buyers protected from junk and jerks. I finally gave up and sent it back. Swappa stood by me when I had trouble getting my refund too. I appreciate the platform and its support!

Ban issue: They say verification takes a few hours. It doesn't, it takes multiple days. You better hope you don't mess anything at all about this up, because if you do they will ban you without recourse or explanation. Also, you better not sign up using an Apple account. If you do, there's literally no possible way to sign in on any other device. Which is important, because this app is missing buttons that you need that you can only see on desktop. Don't bother emailing support about this either, they will either answer you in 10 minutes or they won't answer you ever. And if you send a double email, evidently they will ban you as well. App issues: I have verified my paypal. For some reason, the app says i need to verify still. So I cant sell. Through some other menu, I was though. You ask for my device details twice. Same exact info. Your next button on the above only works once. After backing out of the menu (to the checklist), if I go back in, the next button does not function. You need verification photos and say this step is optional. You dont make it clear how to add these if the step is skipped. If i add a photo to the regular photo list after, the number seems to change. So the photo now doesnt match the shown number. Photos are added slowly. So if i add them, they dont show up and there is no indication they were added. They do show up a bit later (10 seconds later or so) but there is no indication in the meantime. This can result in double uploads as the uploads appeared to have failed. You guys ask for email codes too often. It makes sense in a web browser, but not in an app. The price calculator (that shows buyer shown price and seller received price) does not update in real time in the selling checklist. It updates only after you exit the item. Your app doesnt properly reset on logout/login cycle. I tried logging out to fix the card not linked issue, and on logging back in the app had clearly not reset (certain screens still at last state)

No matter what I do my address just keeps deleting itself rendering this entire app useless as I can not purchase anything :(
