Great idea and great app when it works. Line calling inconsistent and auto scoring hasn’t worked once in the 20 or so matches I’ve recorded. The app is glitchy and crashes more than it should. I will give the pro subscription one more year as there aren’t any cost effective alternatives.
Not enough focus on stats
The app collects so many useful stats, but it is difficult to view those stats in the aggregate. You can easily see stats by game, but I can’t see to find any stats across all my games, or all my games over a given time. That being said I love the data and tracking the app provides, and I’m sure the info will become more accurate for pickleball over time!
Pickleball broken
I used this yesterday. Recorded a match. The video is there but it thinks the rally is just the first five seconds. I tried editing. No success. No clear way to submit a help ticket. :(. Would change review if issue could be resolved.
Pickleball Intel
SwingVision has been a good addition to my approach to improvement. It helps in allowing me just to look at the play time, not the moments I between. It gives some feedback, shot percentages with serves, etc, but that is still being expanded and developed is my understanding. It allows me to review my play and supports that approach. It is a good addition, that with proposed changes in the near future, should be a great addition and tool.
Almost feels like I got scammed
I’ll go back to watch old videos and they just don’t play correctly. Points skip, audio glitches. I paid all this money for them to save my videos and they mostly all get messed up and don’t load properly. Line calling is bad too. The swing stick they send you has very poor build quality. I’ve had to Jerry-rig mine multiple times and I still don’t trust it to hold my phone safely. I’ve had both the old and new model of the swing stick. I will keep my subscription since when it does work it is nice but don’t trust it to keep old videos. Keep a backup somehow saved somewhere else.
Great training app
I have just renewed my subscription for 2025. It's worth it.
SwingVision Review
I love it!!! I’m only using the free version for now but I love recording games and seeing the stats. There hasn’t been a player who wasn’t interested in seeing all of their shots recorded and placement. I plan on getting the pro version so my recordings can be HD. I think this will be a beneficial tool for sessions when I coach too! I do hope for an update where recordings can be analyzed from sideline view.
Fun, and valuable
Over been using the app and stick for about 10 weeks, recording and reviewing Pickleball games. The recordings are of excellent quality, and the removal of dead space allowing full viewing is worth the price. The replay controls with slow motion is excellent. The stats are interesting and will only improve as they mature the pickleball product. The company appears to have good momentum and worth the annual investment, especially if you are working to improve your game.
I love sv a lot
my friend showed me swing vision a while ago and we have used it every match and practice since. i highly recommend swing vision for any skill level. being able to watch :how you play, where you hit, and how fast you hit are all amazing features that i never knew i was missing out on.
Pickleball use
I use SwingVision to video and share play for my students and to analyse my own play.
The technology is amazing and being able to see each shot and the ability to separate them out for review after is priceless.
Students can really see what they need to work on and it is incredible how many of them think their stokes are a lot better than reality shows them.
Once they bring in a ball machine / practice option to the pickleball software it will be beyond perfect!
