Sygic GPS Truck & Caravan

Not sure what happening with this app. Cannot open this latest version just crashes. Mailed support three times. Zero response. Maybe this product is no longer supported?

Really fiddly, couldn’t get it to connect… deleted it…check the prices it’s also VERY expensive… just use google maps it’s free, it connects up without any bother and it works.

I purchased this app purely based on the fact I could enter my vehicle dimensions ( motorhome) as I’m travelling to Italy in September. I’ve been using the app and and so far , not impressed: Voice commands are dreadful, the instructions are never completed and the actual voice is awful. I’ve purposely missed the occasional turn on a pre selected route. Normally you would expect a re-route instruction, not so with Cygic. You have to close app down and re-select final destination!!! I will continue to use and see if the performance improves . At the moment I would most certainly not recommend. !!!

The app itself works well. Very handy for POI when driving for breaks etc.. bought premium with CarPlay and purchased a CarPlay screen for the truck, only downside and one that’s very annoying is there is no POI bar on the CarPlay display! I got the CarPlay so I could have a bigger display and now have no use for it as can’t see POI’s coming up. Please update app with POI on CarPlay and I’d happily give it 5 stars.

Latest updates keeps crashing when I try to open it. Last build was ok. Waiting for a response from support

I have used this for the 7 day trail. How ever I did take me down some roads that was not capable of taking large vehicles. Even though all my settings was for that of a coach. Wish the trial was a bit longer as a coach driver as then I could see how it works in all parts of the country before I purchase. But otherwise it’s all good and a good help.

Thought this was a premier map app but not while I’ve been using it for a week now I’ve had it crash saying map missing ,misleading directions emergency telephones wrong ,taking you through towns when settings were set on motorways and non toll roads

This used to be a good app. Now it’s just after your money and doesn’t work as good. I got the lifetime maps but now that only lasts three years. I got the CarPlay but that doesn’t work properly. Set up a destination but the first instruction it gives you it goes off the map screen. If I take a different route it doesn’t reroute me on the maps. I have to pull over and out the route in again.

Travelling Llangollen to Dolgellau in a 6 m campervan. App routed us up a cycle track rather than the main road. We are noted the instruction to turn right and went left. The app took no notice and did not reroute. Money back request made. Google maps does a better job

Hopefully the developers will read and respond - as there appears to be no way of contacting them directly to ask questions The app does not work on CarPlay - in my BMW the screen says to continue setting up in CarPlay - but all other apps work. I am using the Free version but have read that the paid for version suffers a similar fate On my first journey the voice cuts off, it also silences the radio apart from just before announcing the next direction - the radio plays for one second, then the directions are made which are cut off before completing - then silence The road speeds are wrong - app was reporting 60mph for 50 and 30 for 20, these have been set at this speed limit for many months if not years - so no reason for it to be wrong The voice cannot be changed in the free version - is this correct? It sounds like some sort of mass murderer - like the voice from “Saw” which is a bit off putting. Overall not a good start. Hopefully the developers will respond and all will be good - if not then I’m onto Co-Pilot as this seems to get all the above right. Sygic developers - please contact me ASAP so we can put this right Thanks
