Symphony is a WiFi enabled comfort platform that’s unsurpassed in its ease of use, features and capabilities. It provides detailed system feedback in real-time and the tools to control it. Symphony marries the Aurora controls of your WaterFurnace geothermal unit with the Aurora Weblink router, providing access to your equipment from practically anywhere. Symphony is cloud-based so there’s no software to install and provides control over your entire geothermal system - not just the thermostat as in other ‘smart thermostat’ systems.
Symphony allows you to:
• View and control your geothermal system’s operation from anywhere using a laptop, smart phone or tablet using an intuitive dashboard for quick access to your unit’s status, operation history, alert history, and energy usage.
• Remotely control temperatures and programs for up to 6 zones (requires the IntelliZone2 zoning system).
• Observe and track your unit’s energy use for the last 13 months.
• Provide equipment performance data to dealers for remote monitoring and diagnosis (Premium package required).
• Receive equipment alerts and service reminders (as well as your dealer) via email and texts (Premium package required).

Horrible Interface
Most unfriendly, non intuitive interface ever
If you turn a zone off and then on it forgets the intermittent settings.
If you want to see usage in $$ you have to enter the cost per kWh every time.
No way to control all zones you have to set each one.
This system cost an absolute fortune and if I could I’d switch to Nest any day.
FYI I write software for a living and have an App in the App Store. It gets 4.9 stars. So trust me they could do a lot better.
Good but Better w/Full Data & Parameters
It has worked fairly well but frequently I must access the Symphony webpage for items not accessible from the app, such as alert settings, loop temperature, return/supply temperatures, etc. I hope eventually the app is expanded.
Version 3.0
iPhone app lacks one critical piece of info. What is the loop temp? This is the only thing missing. Seems like they would include it, since they show it on the web application.
App
The app so far has not been good, the information I need to be able to control doesn’t even show on app. Can’t pull information from any other option in the app. Just disappointed so far.
Has some bugs that need to be fixed
As others have said adjusting the temperature on the doesn’t always work. Sometimes it lowers the temp when I’m trying to increase it or vice versa. Or it doesn’t take the change at all Recently it just doesn’t seem to connect the screen is blank but I can get the energy grid to display do it must be connected. There really should be a hardwired option to avoid Wi-Fi since it only supports outdated Wi-Fi. Also getting AWL not connected to server messages lately.
App should support being used over a vpn connection.
Changes not always saved
If I change the temperature set point the change is not always saved to to t-stat on the wall. It works about 1/3 of the time.
I’ve gotten to where I will change it in the app, wait a few minutes then go and check the t-stat on the wall. Then manually make the change that is “saved” in the app.
Very frustrating.
Needs a lot of work
Half the screens don’t fit on an older iPhone SE. Haven’t you ever heard of responsive web design so things fit ALL screens? Half the metrics aren’t even shown that are available. A 4 point schedule is big enough points to make efficient use of a heat pump when you want cooler temps for sleep vs daytime. The 4 points causes the unit to run at full blast at transition points when a multipoint or continual curve based thermostat would allow gentle transitions which optimize efficiency and power consumption.
Some bugs need to be fixed
I use the app with zoning so maybe my problems are specific to that:
- when I change the temperature setting or any other setting I have to keep the app open for a while or it won’t take over the change
- if I want to change a thermostat from heating to auto or cooling it will only do it if I also change a temperature at the same time but it will take the heating temperature number for cooling and vice versa
- vacation mode works but not if you travel in a time zone that is ahead and the date has switched so I had to manually change my time zone on my phone to home, for example I cannot choose to start the mode now if my date is December 5 while back home it’s the 4th
I would hope the app could be more transparent as to what mode or schedule segment it is in right now. An permanent hold override would be nice.
Missing key data
For the love of God- we have been asking for key performance data including Entering/exit loop temps for years. Just include it already
Graphs not showing up
I have a WF series 7, since March 2022.
my graphs used to work, now does not display. Webview the graphs do work
I’m on iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 16 latest rev
