Nach Wechsel von Apple Fotos auf diese APP sehr zufrieden! Endlich wieder eine richtige, echte Ordner Struktur!! Finde Alben machen es unübersichtlich, wenn man auch vom Mac/ Finder organisieren möchte.

Ich verstehe nicht wieso, aber Bilder werden in der Timeline angezeigt auf Mobile, aber dafür im Web. Irgendwas an der App ist nicht richtig umgesetzt. Dadurch kann man bei vielen fotos nicht schnell auf alte fotos zugreifen via timeline.

Als Nachfolger von DS Fotos endlich eine ausgereifte App die alle wesentlichen Funktionen erfüllt und problemlos Apple Fotos und Google Fotos ersetzen kann. Perfekt als eigens gehostete Cloud-Lösung ohne Abo-Kosten. Bitte immer weiter entwickeln und mit neuen Funktionen versehen.

Seit dem iOS Update für mich persönlich unbrauchbar. Live Photos werde in ein Bild und ein Video aufgeteilt. Problem ist bei Synology offensichtlich bekannt aber  bisher passiert nichts.

### **--- "Backup als Glücksspiel"
Tja, wenn mein Backup zum Glücksspiel wird passt was nicht. Ich habe 1360 Videos zum Hochladen ausgewählt und es wurden immer wieder Dateien mit dem Fehler angezeigt, dass ein Fehler aufgetreten ist und dass die Datei nicht hochgeladen wurde. Anzeige warum und welcher Fehler aufgetreten ist ? … Fehlanzeige. Letztendlich wurden 1216 Dateien hochgeladen, was nicht annähernd die komplette Anzahl darstellt. Natürlich werden auch keinerlei von mir im iPhone angelegten Ordner übernommen … schlimmer noch, sie stehen nicht mal mehr angezeigt. Als kann ich mich auf ein verlässliches Backup mit der Synology Photo App in kleinster Weise verlassen. Ebenso grausam ist die Web Version, die als „Bild er Galerie“ angeboten wird, blöd mit, wenn ich einem Photo Ordner veröffentlichen möchte. Ohne Worte. Somit hoffe ich auf ein vernünftiges Update.

### **--- "NAS nicht im Netz sichtbar"
Hallo zusammen, grundsätzlich bin ich mit der photos App immer sehr zu frieden gewesen. mit dem neuen iPhone 16 Pro finde ich leider nicht mehr mein NAS im Netz. Er zieht auch standardmäßig nicht mehr das Synology Zertifikat sondern irgend ein anderes. Via VPN und quickconnect läuft es einwandfrei. Andere Apple Geräte funktioniert die mobiles app noch. Der KI generierte Support von Synology konnte mir auch nicht weiterhelfen. Ggf. ist es ein App bug oder hängt mit dem neuen iPhone zusammen. Bin auf jedenfall mit meinem Latain am Ende.   Viele Grüße

Derzeit unterstützt die Synology Photos Mobile App nur die Zeitachsenansicht und bietet keine Ordneransicht wie in der Webanwendung.
Dadurch in der Übersichtlichkeit sehr stark eingeschränkt. 5 Sterne wenn das umgesetzt ist.

### *---- "No usable cache management"
There is no way to say “keep the latest 2GB of Media on the device” or “keep the last year local on the device if it’s not reaching >3GB” or something like this.

Also at least I would like to have the possibility to keep certain albums offline on the device. But even that is not possible. 

My wife downloaded the
all again in her camera roll, creating a big mess. When I tried to find a way how she could have an album accessible offline I found, to download them into another app is the only way.

My wife stopped using the app and therefore, for me the whole project failed. 

Now the nerds tell me, it’s not build for that. The app is just media access and not storage, but still the app is like this not usable for my Familie because I can not convince them. In their eyes it has no advantage - and I can understand.

… sie fordert beim Öffnen immer wieder einen 2FA-Code obwohl ich das Gerät als vertrauenswürdig erklärt habe. Das macht die App quasi unbenutzbar:(
