Waste of Time

Why can someone can’t copy in a MongoDB connection string and just make it work. It’s a real shame.

Would want to pay for a pro version…

Excellent bit of software, really nice UI to use when navigating through MySQL databases. However, I’m struggling to understand the subscription business model? Would much prefer a one-off payment option instead and I’d happily pay. I’m sure there are many other users out there, that would love to enjoy the software which you have clearly lovingly created, but have been turned off by the subscription ransom… Would you be interested in making a tiered payment options? Maybe offer a free app to trial, paid one-off in-app purchased for the trial to be lifted then a subscription model for features that require monthly maintenance?

Editing rows seems broken

Build 294 still: 1) the TAB key does not move from one cell to the next 2) it is unclear how to save records, functionality which is hidden under the eye icon, that shows the changes to be committed or discarded 3) the datetime column type problem is solved. However added a problem in the insert new record as this is split into an impossible UPDATE and an INSERT. Will enter the big reports. I have improved the rating as you have shown a rapid response!

It’s good. Lots of things to improve on though

It is good, and I’m comparing this mostly to SQLPro Studio. This has a more modern feel to the UI which I like. Some ideas for the future: (1)... I wish it was possible to select multiple schema rather than being restricted to just one. In SQLPro I can see all views, grouped by schema and thats really nice compared to TablePlus. (2)... It would be awesome to show linked servers (SQL SErver feature) under “Databases” (3)... open tabs (and their content) to be remembered and re-opened when you re-connect to a server (4)... Bracket highlighting. So when you write a function(some stuff here) and put the mouse curser next to one of the parentheses, it highlights the matching parentheses. (5)... Some keywords/functions are missing highlighting in SQL Server such as LEN or COUNT (6)... If the user is already indented on the line, when they go to a new line, auto indent to match the line above. (7)... Provide an open to remove the right hand pane (or pain!) which shows the line contents when you selected a row in the resultset. And instead just allow users to scroll to the right when the number of columns is too big to display. Allow copying data from that result window would be great to. The right hand pane just takes up too much space even on iPAd 12.9 inch.

Much better

This application has is now somewhat more feature rich than it was. MariaDB connections still aren’t an option in their own right but choosing MySQL seems to be good enough. I am pleased that finally it is possible to use your desktop key in the application settings to remove the trial limitations for existing license holders. This is a notable improvement, and very welcome.

Useful!

Shame there doesn’t appear to be a way to buy a licence for MacOS and iOS at the same time, but still useful!
