## TacDesk Description
TacDesk is the workforce platform built specifically for UK private security companies. It gives SIA-licensed officers a single app for every part of their shift — clocking in by GPS, scanning patrol checkpoints, completing reports, and staying in touch with dispatch — and it gives their managers the live operational picture they need to keep clients informed and guards safe.

ISSUED BY YOUR EMPLOYER

TacDesk is not a consumer app. Accounts are created and managed by the security company you work for. If you've been asked to install TacDesk by your employer, sign in with the username they've given you. If you haven't, this app isn't for you — your employer must subscribe to TacDesk before accounts can be issued.

FOR GUARDS ON SHIFT

• GPS clock-in and clock-out, with location verification against your assigned site
• NFC and QR patrol checkpoints — tap a tag, the round is logged automatically
• Incident reports, patrol logs, vehicle defect reports, and check-call submissions, all with photos, voice notes, and GPS context
• Live messaging with your dispatcher and shift supervisor
• Lone-worker safety: scheduled check-calls, missed-call escalation, duress alerts
• On-shift Live Activity on your iPhone lock screen showing duration and check-call status

FOR DISPATCHERS AND MANAGERS

• Real-time map of all clocked-in guards across every site
• Patrol coverage verification — see exactly which checkpoints have been hit and when
• Incident triage queue with photo and report attachments
• Schedule, assign, and reassign guards from your phone or desktop
• Client-facing reports generated automatically from on-the-ground activity
• Audit log of every action, for SIA compliance and client SLA evidence

LONE-WORKER SAFETY, DESIGNED FOR THE WAY GUARDS ACTUALLY WORK

Security work is solitary. Guards are routinely posted alone, often at night, on remote sites where back-up is far away. TacDesk was built around that reality:

• Background location is recorded only while you're clocked in to a shift, and stops automatically the moment you clock out
• A persistent on-screen notification makes it clear when tracking is active
• Missed check-calls and duress signals trigger immediate dispatcher alerts, not silent log entries
• Designed against HSE working-alone guidance and the BS 7499 / BS 7858 / BS 8517 standards your employer's clients expect

PRIVACY AND CONTROL

• Your employer is the data controller for your operational data; we process it on their behalf under a written agreement
• No advertising, no advertising trackers, no data sold to third parties
• Full privacy policy:
• Background location stops the moment you clock out, every time

REQUIREMENTS

• An active TacDesk account issued by your employer
• iOS 13.0 or later
• An iPhone with location services and NFC support (most iPhones from 2018 onwards)

QUESTIONS?

If you can't sign in or don't recognise TacDesk, contact your employer's TacDesk administrator first. For privacy or data questions, email info@tacdesk.co.uk.
