We left windows open for an hour, since we have that smart “open window detection”. But apparently after a while the app “forgets” that the temperature changed drastically and my radiators start heating the outdoors full power. 👎👎👎 It would have been helpful if the app asked me like “hey, are you still venting?” instead of just starting to heat outdoor air!!! That’s like the whole point of why we got the thing in the first place 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I’ve spent 2 weeks trying to get get help to the AC Control device and App. That was a Robot suggesting the same non working solution over and over again. Absolutely ni support at all

This app is fairly good but has been getting slowly worse. Slower on startup (many seconds) and after years this app still has no real HomeKit integration or scripting hooks. The hardware is ok, if a bit flimsy, even though a significant number of my devices are not compatible with rechargeable batteries; a big black mark against sustainability. I hope my efforts here at providing feedback will not be “addressed” with a canned response referring me to yet another feedback form (that few of us are likely to bother with.)

The app works nicely, but could be improved, would be nice to have an alias on each termostat, so when you get change battery, you know it is the one under the desk or by the panorama window etc. Also a better smart home connection, så when it has registered open window, you could set up an alerts after x time, if not changed by then The hardware could be easier to attach it base, I’ve got 2 now with loose shield 🙁 because it will not fasten when turning.

I received a faulty A/C Controller where the Apple HomeKit code is not working and therefore not letting me add the device to my Apple Home. I’ve been talking to the support team for over a week now with yet not a solution. How hard can it be to reassign the device a new code, or refresh the old code? The support team lacks technical capabilities, understanding and professionalism. I think I’m through the 5th supporter on the chat where they still are trying to “understand” the problem. As a customer, I don’t care weather you understand it or not as long as you get the device to work - if you can’t fix it right away, send a new one, retrieve the old one and than you can analyze the device to understand the problem. For a company focused on smart home, IT support should be a no brainer, but apparently the whole system is wrongly managed. I’ve used Tado for years and in general I’ve been really happy for it, but when it comes to extras (multi home capabilities, integrations, support) it is really a product still in development, from a company that does not work agile at all - so I would advice going to Sensibo or Eve which are much more stable and well supported.

Since I bought this unit they have put features that used to be free behind a paywall subscription. Can you imagine? I have to pay a monthly subscription fee to use the dial on my own heater ad infinitum. What kind of late stage capitalist dystopian nightmare are we living in? This is the hardware equivalent of having to pay to use the bathroom on a long haul flight. Predatory at best. At worst unimaginative and the kind of mundane evil that will destroy the human race. The greed and laziness of this company is astounding. I used to think innovation and creating value for customers was how technology firms were supposed to make money. Not this unselfconsciously sweaty attempt at a cash grab from a captive audience. I will never ever recommend this to anyone. The first chance I get I will switch to a competitor. Terrible. Truly god awful nonsense. May the people who came of with this hairball scheme contract slow acting and debilitating diseases of the genitals.

I really love my tados but the open windows detection function is not working properly. I really often have to turn off the heat my self and I’m even paying for it. My termostat is just under the window so it can’t be the problem. I hope you will fix it soon!
