Ever since they remove the physical coupons, the Tanger membership went downhill. Uploading the tickets is a challenge, they keep getting rejected, although it’s on the same day of purchase or participating stores. Getting back from customer service is a waste of time, I’ve wrote tons of emails/contact us and nothing, no reply. The app doesn’t work, today I went to the outlet and didn’t work, I texted to a number they had at the outlet, they told me that the app was down and it would take around 2-3 hrs to work and to ask the stores for the discounts, it never worked while I was at the outlet, the stores did not apply any discount since they need the code that the app displays, so I’ve paid for a membership that I could not use. Waste of time, waste of money.

The new version is no more user friendly than the previous one. I don’t find the search button for deals of a specific store. It even took me minutes to find deals. If you do not want users to use deals within the app, what is the meaning of this app? Very disappointed experience.

### **--- "New membership and receipt capture is awful"
Since they’ve gone all digital, the membership and rewards system has gotten incredibly confusing and almost worthless. I’ve had stores deny my coupons as they don’t have them in their system. 

Receipt capture regularly rejects my uploads for valid receipts and it’s meant I’m unable to move up to the next level because of it. Without a physical Shoppers Services you can’t even take the receipts in anymore.

This new Tanger app update which automates is the worst update ever seen. Receipts uploaded shows as too old and gets rejected even if its the same day. Have to upload same receipt with Scan feature or picture option as it rejects couple of times then it finally takes it. There is no direct support line to contact any humans. Everything is automated as even contacting support says that you need to wait for 72 hours for human response.
App even do not show the hours of operations which was showing in previous update in the app.

The app can’t scan receipts accurately at all. It’ll either say they’re too old—even if they’re only hours old—or that the location is incorrect, whatever that means. All the human customer service personnel at the malls have been fired, and the other support channels are worthless. This rewards program used to be worthwhile, but the “improvements” have made it completely unreliable.

This app has updated to automate the receipt approval and rejection.  This feature is a total failure.   This app rejected all the receipts because it is too old.  For example, receipts for August 2, 2023 were rejected even I scanned it on the same day.  Email to customer service go unanswered for nearly 2 weeks.   Discussion with Customer Service Office at the outlet said there is nothing they can do (that’s fair but at least has a way to allow them to manually add the receipt).  Tanger new policy requires receipt to be scanned and recorded within 30 days.  Seems like all my purchases will be a write-off for next year’s status.   Very disappointing

This new update is horrible. I tried scanning multiple receipts with today’s date and the app won’t accept them and says the reason is that they’re “too old”. Additionally, they’ve made it extremely difficult to actually contact a real human being.

I Love shopping at Tanger Outlet Ottawa! With this pandemic it is nice to shop outdoor so your not confine and too close to people ( talking about social distancing). Store have a lot of discount specially if your a member too!awesome! Clean environment. And they have a play structure for kids to play too specially during summer season! They have activity some other holidays! Lots of variety to pick on your own brand likes. Lots of parking space and if your craving of beaver tails you don't need to go to downtown, tanger outlet have them! Talking about food tanger outlet have cafeteria to grab something to eat when you and your family gets tired and hungry shopping around! They have a bench to sit whenever you want stop over to get your energy back from walking! amazing place to shop!
