Description

Tap Forms 5 is the digital filing cabinet for life’s scattered details. Now with Scripting and Siri Shortcuts support!

Accounts, recipes, expenses, inventory — life is full of things that we don’t want to forget or misplace. Tap Forms 5 helps you organize all kinds of things in one place — secure, searchable, and accessible on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch (Mac app sold separately).

How can one app organize everything? Because not only can you use and customize the more than 30 built-in templates but you can create your own “forms” for inputting any kind of information, even if that information includes pictures, doodles, audio recordings, calculations, file attachments, ratings, or even links to other forms. This makes it almost like building your very own customized organization app.

• Capture your way: Snap a picture, type or scribble some text, record an audio note, scan a barcode — there are 23 different types of information that can be captured with Tap Forms

• Organize your way: Create and design custom forms exactly how you want to for optimal organization. Get started with one of our ready-to-go form templates, or easily make a custom one from scratch with our integrated form building tools.

• Store confidential data with confidence: Tap Forms' security settings let you optionally require a password or a Touch ID scan, and even auto-lock when idle for a custom period of time. Using AES encryption, you can rest easy knowing your data is safe and secure.

• Import, Export, Share: It’s easy to import your data from existing files, so getting started is a breeze. Import your data from text, CSV, Bento and more. One-tap exporting allows you to share with Mac, Windows, and Linux users.

Advanced Features:

• Scripting support for writing JavaScript code for performing all kinds of operations on your forms and records.
• Siri Shortcuts let you record a voice command to execute any Form script.

Solid. Reliable. Excellent Support. Best Out There

Hadge on

I have been using Tap Forms since 2019 and upgraded to Tap Forms 5 in the blink of an eye. It is super powerful and adaptive for all database needs. I run my business from it and it is invaluable when it comes to recording things like fees and mileage as well as details of jobs. It makes my tax returns a doddle. I cannot recommend it too highly. The developer, Brendan, is so supportive if there is an issue (usually down to me rather than the software) and on the rare occasion when I have had to reach out his responses are pretty much immediate and problem solved quickly. In all the time I have been using Tap Forms 5 I have never lost any data. If I did it wouldn’t be that much of an issue as the backup system is solid. Buy it today- you won’t regret it - this review is unbiased and I paid gladly for the app.

Brilliant Database App!

Bernie-D on

This is a great database app. Very capable, but easy to use and set up feature packed databases for tracking all sorts of stuff. It’s the best and most capable database app in the App Store in my opinion, and I’ve tried a few of them! On the rare occasions when I have come across a minor issue, an email to the developer will have the issue sorted in no time. Brilliant app, great developer and well worth every penny.

The Number One DB App For…

 Customer_952 on

.. Individuals, Small & Medium sized business. I’ve been a connoisseur of DB Software and Apps for nearly 30 years. From those fledgling days of using MS Access, the years of mass DB proliferation in the form of an overwhelming choice of them being available; to the last 10+ years where there were not so many to choose from, especially when using Apple devices. In that time, there have been some olympian level competitors, there’ve been expensive garbage, and some bargain bucket belters. About 12 years ago, I found Tap Forms DB app on both macOS and iOS. They are both great at what they do, and I have always come back to them no matter what other apps I may sample in the meantime. DB Apps are almost like a hobby to me & being as though there’re many things you can use DB for, where does this app sit? If you want to do basic lists, this would be a beautiful and highly capable option, but likely way too capable. If you want to do medium to heavier lifting (CRM, Library, Large Scale Reading Notes, Hobby Clubs, Collections and anything dense and detailed you can think of) then this is the app capable of doing it for you. There are so many great things about the app, it’d take too long to say here. The one area where there’s room for improvement currently, is iOS Support Documentation. The macOS documentation is fairly well covered, it can always do with refreshing and bolstering, but it’s reasonable. I’m sure it’s on the list of things the developer is doing. Talking of which, another great thing about the app is its developer. The polite, professional and quick service and support he provides is a template for all developers out there. This is how all developers should be made to act by Apple, after all, they are using Apples devices to make a living and therefore, should be held to Apples high standards. In fact, Apple would do well to buy this App, employ the developer and include it as part of the iSuite of apps! He could then double up as quality control of all developers support to customers of the App Store! I recommend this app very, very highly!

Excellent App

iTunes Robbie on

It took me a while to realise the full potential of this excellent App and I am so pleased with the results. I had a small query and the developer (Brendan) answered the same day and gave great advice. Highly recommended.

Tap Forms Review

RobynGog on

I have done a considerable amount of research to look for a solution to simplify my paper and digital world in a mac environment. In windows the early desk based msaccess was a good solution but clumsy on my mac, and not linked to my iphone and ipad. Other sql based packages are good but expensive with ongoing cost and for what i need, slightly complicated. I could use google spreadsheets but they add up again to a messy solution and attaching files isn't an option. So I bought both the mac book version and the ios version for an affordable c£70. The support and training videos initially looked like a worry but I have had a couple of support email requests and they have been dealt with expeditiously, with a really good personal touch. Like all good solutions you have to put in some effort to avoid GIGO. So in conclusion - I highly recommend tap forms.

Basics not working

TeaBoy63 on

This remains the only useful replacement to Bento that I’ve found. However, it is plagued by a few glitches. Latest release was supposed to cure the app freezing when entering date fields, unfortunately this is not the case

Excellent but a help guide is needed

HowardMor on

First the positive part. This is a sophisticated app which is easily the best of the bunch for cataloguing. It offers a very wide range of options and there can be very few cataloguing needs it can’t handle. It lost stars for me because of the lack of a dedicated help page. A few videos aren’t nearly enough. I wasted a lot of time trying to work out how to do things. The developer responded quickly to my two queries but pointed me to the Mac help documentation. This falls far short of what is needed - the Mac and iPad UI are inevitably very different and It was often far from clear how OSX features were implemented on iOS. There were also strange inconsistencies - on one form I created there was an Edit option allowing records to be deleted or reordered but on other forms I created there was no edit option. I eventually discovered why but it took a lot of effort. I could go on. It will deserve 5 stars when these issues are sorted out.

A very good product with excellent support, especially for non tech-savvies like me!

The Swiss Army Knife of consumer databases

jamesbellcentral on

Would highly recommend. Simple, intuitive, flexible, customisable… a bit like Notion, but you can separate each database into individual documents – so you don’t have that overwhelming sensation of everything being right in front of you. A million and one uses. And they’re always quick to reply to support queries, which is a huge plus!

Dark mode etc

johnguilty on

It's disappointing that an app of this price has such poor and partial fake mode support. Similarly, the use of emoji as icons rather than SFSymbols, the clunky file browsing interface, the awkward iCloud implementation all give the impression of an app written a while ago and failing to make use of more recent improvements. All these feature feel like things which have been grudgingly updated without being really wholeheartedly integrated. Which is a shame because with a bit more modern polish this would be a five star app. What it does is enormously powerful and very useful indeed.
