Why are the covers such low resolution suddenly? I tap on them to see them more clearly than on a story’s page, but they’re even worse resolution than if I screenshot the story’s page then zoomed in to look at the covers. + There should be a sort of “are you sure?” feature when unlocking episodes with free passes when already in an episode. I’ve wasted too many tickets from switching app tabs on iPhone 12 and the app registering it as me swiping to the previous locked 3hr WUF episode and using one of my tickets. There’s already one of these features when unlocking episodes with tickets from a series’ main page, so it should be easy to add one within the episode.
I love them
I love the comic and novel options they have, but Tapas has started limiting their per day viewing A LOT. They've reduced the 1-tap buy discount, increased the ink amount per episode and promote "read and earn" events that cost more than the rewards! The increase per episode is over 100 ink and I haven't heard how this increase is helping creators or the platform. Still have it, still reading, but many users are not happy with the app
They recently removed the ability to watch ads for episodes. They limit you so you can never finish a series for free and it’s very expensive to buy episodes. They also push you to starting more series than you can afford to finish by “earning ink” so I’ll probably continue a couple series close to my heart and stop using this app completely…
I love this app and it’s stories but having to buy inks gets to be a little much. Of course I want to support the artists and writers, but I would just prefer to have some sort of subscription service.
The recent price increase is like a slap in the face for all the dedicated readers. As someone who frequently buys ink, I can tell you it’s just unreasonable and certainly not enough bang for your buck anymore. I would quite literally rather spend on physical copies or directly pay creators via ko-fi or similar platforms. It’s unfortunate because tapas was a decent way for me to support creators at some point, and you could read more than 4 chapters after buying ink. It was far better than webtoon in many respects, in terms of the clean and simple UI. However, after many years of using tapas, I can no longer continue supporting it. The price is just not within reason.
umm so every monday i can her up to like 1000 ink or something and i always check how much i have before i claim the ink and i don't get anything even though it says i earned ink
😡😡😡😡😡
I enjoyed being able to finish some stories by watching ads prior to this last update. Currently it’s hard to earn enough ink to do that, as some of it disappears within a day. The Monday fee ink no longer covers an episode either. I don’t see the point in keeping the app since the pay wall is too high, and who wants to read half a story, anyway?
