SO THEY HAVE NICE STORIES AND STUFF BUT WHEN I SEE THE MODERATE THING WARNING I ASSUME ITS JUST BAD LANGUAGE AND IM WRONG I GET SEVERELY TRAUMATISED BY SOME OF THE STUFF AND I TRY LIKE REPORTING THE STORY BUT I CANT AND THEN I FEEL WEIRD ABT ME ACCIDENTALLY READING IT AND SOMETIMES MY WUFS ARENT AVAILABLE FOR THE OTHER CHAPTERS BUT THATS NOT THE GAMES FAULT BUT OTHER THEN MY BAD EXPERIENCE THEY HAVE GOOD STORIES OF EVERY CATEGORIES.

I’ve been using tapas for about a year and 9 months now, and I loved it. At the time, it was 24hr WUF and you kept the chapter forever. Then, they introduced the 3hr WUF where you only keep the chapter for 72 hours. That was fine but you don’t get to keep them and it makes legally rereading the series long as hell. But it’s workable. Then any that you own and download doesn’t work offline and entirely crashes the app. I have to delete it and all of its data in order to use the app again. I’ve reported it and it’s not been fixed. Then putting the prices up. You don’t get value for money anymore. They didn’t even announce it. Finally, they began doing events to get extra ink, and with the 3hr WUF it was great. Until, it’s a 3 day event and you have to read 6/12 chapters to get the free ink. No point. It’s just annoying. Unless there are some good changes, I’m really considering going back to Manta Unlimited or Webtoons because it’s better value for money, even though my favourite series is here. Keep this in mind if you’re looking to read a lot and will be a paying customer.

The gain free ink feature does not work all the time, when i try to get free ink on the web browser in never loads up anymore. Therefore i can no longer get any free ink without having to purchase.

you got rid of probably the best way to get ink just out of pure greed. at least listen to us and hear from the people who are saying that they're leaving the app because watching ads is the most accessible way to get ink and now you got rid of it. would be a better platform if they got the ads back.

I love tapas, however the ‘watch add’ to get free ink has completely gone. I don’t always manage to get the Mondays free ink and I don’t know if it’s just an error or what, but it is very annoying and I can’t really catch up on anything or support people… Edit: apparently it has been is just disappointing. Not everyone can afford even the cheapest option to get ink and it’s very stupid to get rid of the only option that helps people enjoy the stories. I don’t want to get rid of the app but it needs sorting! Maybe think about other people and not just the money.

You’re pushing out the people who don’t have deep pockets. This site used to be available for everyone to read on; as long as you were willing to watch ads or do surveys you could read. You burnt that to the ground. I loved this app but I can’t afford to read with the prices doubling and now the free ink options being demolished. You’ve changed. I can’t stick around. I’ll miss some of my favourites, maybe I’ll come back and read them if I can. Tapas used to be the best, now it’s just a burnt up, sucked dry, repetitive post apocalyptic wasteland of a site that can’t even pay its creators properly. You don’t have a monopoly-you need to realise there’s only so far you can push us before we walk out to another site- and soon enough your greed will force everyone away. This was the last straw. I can’t do this anymore. TLDR: greed ruined tapas and I’m done with it

I love the stories that i find on tapas and the art is stunning!!! And yes, even if i have to wait three hours for the next chapter of a comic i can use ink to unlock it and i can get ink for free so i don’t have to pay for it 😍😍😍

The only options that are there for people to earn ink it to either pay or invite friends and do offers. I have been doing the offers and the ink has just not been going through and even when contacting the staff they do not listen. Additionally they’ve made such a greedy decision to remove the watching ads option to gain ink. As if this wasn’t bad enough, they've made the WUF not permanent and now the ink events are just not as frequent as they used to be and not as rewarding. It’s so disappointing to see such a good app go down the drain just because of these greedy peoples desires. I used to be inclined to pay for the ink as well as the free options, but now I will not ever spend a coin of this app. I wish I could refund everything .

Tge hell did you do to the free ink ads those were a vital feature for us users and you decided to piledrive them out of existence You got your cut from the ads but no apparent that wasn’t enough you needed ti ensure the users bank account was draining Also I heard there was supposed to be a replacement of 3 free episodes a day but going to the recently updated comics prove I must have heard something incorrect You are going to face a similar issue to unreal if you dick around your customer base like this You don’t exactly have a monopoly like YouTube when it changed its monitisation

Tapas used to be my #1 recommended comic app. Emphasis on "used to." Because ever since they were bought out by Kakao Entertainment in 2021, they've become increasingly hostile towards both their users and creators. What made Tapas stand out among its competitors is how accessible and user-friendly it was, even if you couldn't afford to buy ink. You could unlock 50% - 70% of most series for free using the "Wait Until Free" (WUF) feature if you were patient enough, and pay for the rest by earning ink from participating in events, watching video ads, or filling in surveys. It encouraged a lot of people who would have otherwise turned to piracy to put in just a little bit of effort to support creators in a way they could afford. But over the past two years, all those things have been gradually chipped away. Examples include... Removing the ability to unlock episodes permanently using the WUF feature in November 2022. Raising the price of episodes by 83% in March 2023. Reducing the value of rewards given out for events. Prior to September 2023, you could earn 1500 ink by unlocking 10 episodes of a new series—now you need to unlock 12, but the reward is still only 1500. Removing the ability to earn ink by watching video ads in November 2023. After that last one, I'm done. The greed behind these decisions is utterly transparent, and none of them actually benefit the creators who keep the app running. How is anyone even supposed to condemn piracy, when the alternative is incentivizing companies to keep making their platform worse, just to squeeze a few extra bucks out of us?
