Tape Loop Machine is a free AUv3 audio effect built around tape-style looping, sound-on-sound layering, and long ambient delays.

Use it inside any AUv3-compatible host to create warm repeats, evolving drones, layered guitar textures, synth soundscapes, and slow-moving experimental loops.

Simple enough to pick up in minutes. Deep enough to get lost in.

Can only wish tape length could be tempo synced, or at least have numerical entry, as it’s devilishly difficult to set precisely with the knob. Otherwise, simply perfect!

### ***** "A beautiful tool for Frippertronics"
I’ve had the good fortune to use Studer tape machines to record Frippertronics, and love the sound of the warm saturation it can produce. Using this tool, I was instantly transported back to those moments in the studio. The UI is super simple, with exactly the controls one needs to create beautiful, evolving soundscapes. 

It also has some really useful features not found elsewhere. First, the delay time, at least on my M1 iPad Pro, is a whopping 20 seconds. There’s also the ability to introduce slap-back echo between the left and right channels. One of my favorite features, at least for guitar, is the Swell control. It’s simple, and works exactly as it should. There’s also a basic reverb, but I don’t really use it. 

The developer was very helpful and responsive, which is always a plus. 

This will be my new master looper from now on.
