How does this app record calls?
Take a look at our screenshots for step by step instructions.
When you're on a call and you want to record it, open TapeACall and press the record button. We will put your call on hold and dial our recording line. As soon as our line answers tap the merge button on your screen to create a 3 way call between your other caller and our recording line.
If you want to record an outgoing call, just press the record button. The app will dial our recording line and will begin recording as soon as our line answers. Once that happens, tap the add call button on your screen, call the person you want to record, then press the merge button when they answer.

Can I download recordings to my computer?
Yes, and we've made it extremely easy to do this. From inside the app you can attach the recording to an email and send it to yourself as an MP3, or you can click the share button and find a short URL that you can type into your computer's browser.

How many recordings can I make?
As many as you want! We don't have a limit on the number of recordings you can make.

If you upgrade to 1 year unlimited recording, payment will be charged to your iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. The TapeACall Pro unlimited recordings subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. The cost depends on the selected plan. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. Any unused portion of the free trial will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription.

Doesn’t work period
Don’t use in Australia - Doesn’t recognise your number to start with and no app support available. Simply piss your $$$ goodbye
Cannot use app and no refunds given
Turns out my service provider doesn’t allow to merge calls and this is needed to get app to work. Lengthy process, answer call normally then go to Home Screen open the app choose incoming or outgoing call and then merge. Which needs to allowed by your provider. Useless.
Very complicated
It Should be I’m talking then I press a record button
Often disconnects
Useful and easy to use app but it often disconnects, sometimes mid phone call. Sometimes the calls don’t merge properly and I hang up to find I have an audio track of silence. I’ve also ended a call to find no audio recording at all despite merging, which makes my job extremely difficult
Do not get this app
Dont buy the app ! Firstly they made me purchase the full version app and then you need to sign up on a subscription to these bastardsss !
Doesn’t work
I Don’t always write reviews but I spent $17 on this app and it doesn’t work when I go to merge the call and follow all the right steps I continue my phone call whether it’s outgoing or in coming and follow all the right steps but when I hang up the call and go back into the app to check to see if my recording to see if there is no recording this is happened on multiple occasions and I really would like a refund please as I am very upset and the support I am looking for is not there.
Verification code does not work, can’t use app
Terrible app. Verification code system doesn’t work. Consistently get a ‘network error’ message. Contacted customer support who told me to delete and reinstall the app which didn’t solve the issue. Now no reply from customer service.
Update needed!
No recording other party on iphone 12 mini.
