TargetScan is a specifically designed application for scoring your cards. This innovative tool will not only calculate the score but also analyse your shooting group providing essential statistics that will enable continuous improvement.

SCORING SYSTEM
• Instant score (with inner tens and decimal scoring)
• Automatic pattern and shots recognition
• Eagle Eye for inspection of close shots (you can refine the shot location)
• Near-scoring gauge accuracy (0.2÷0.5 mm depending on the bullet profile)

SHOOTING GROUP ANALYSIS
• Mean Point of Impact (MPI) – the centre of the group: windage and elevation
• Mean Radius, Extreme Spread – to measure your grouping
• Summary Target Plot with all shots in the session
• Potential Score – check how many points you could gain by bringing the group to the centre
• Heat map showing error patterns over longer periods of time
• Charts showing score, group parameters for multiple sessions

So far it seems a well functioning tool for a shooting diary. I have just bought it so I am still evaluating. However, I would like to have landscape view in iPad. It is a nuisance to have to tilt the unit just to use this app. Especially when I need to compare with my traditional photos of the targets. The license price is quite hefty. According to older reviews there may be more expenses further on. If so, I will look for another solution.

I have been using the app for some years now, and I am confident to recommend it for all pistol shooters with the need to record scores for various targets. It is also valuable when developing new reloads due to the evaluation of group size and spread. 
Without background lighting, depending on caliber and bullet type, it cannot find all bullet holes, which I fully understand. In such cases it is easy to add them manually. With .38 SWC and a bright background, such as snow, it is flawless!
The printed reports are very nice, although this is a feature I have not been using much, it might prove valuable as gun laws and license requirements are getting tougher as requiring more evidence of performance or similar. 
I like the heat maps and graphs, but most of all to keep track of my performance over time-on single hit level. 
My experience is mainly from the international ISSF 25 m precision target and calibers in the range between .22” - .50”.
I have been in brief contact with the developers a few times, and it has always been a good experience. 
If you need the functionality it offers, don’t hesitate to buy the app!

*Add IPSC-targets
*Improve photoscanning function sensivity
*Add function. Make possible to add bullet holes on the targetphoto or afterwards. 
*Make an extra function adding ammunition brand/specifications manually connected to individually shooting session (valuable to look at while testing different ammonution on same gun). 
*Make heatmap possible  sorted on specific gun & ammo.

Bra funktioner med ett ok gränssnitt. Scanningen av måltavlan funkar förvånansvärt bra och underlättar poängräkningen och att samla statistik. Minus för att man för få tillgång till att spara fler skyttesessioner måste göra ett ytterligare köp i appen på nästan lika mycket pengar till. Annars hade den fått en 4 stjärnor med potential till högre betyg!

Grymt bra app för såväl nybörjaren som proffset att logga träning och tävlingar, som hjälper när man skall söka licens bl.a. Även ett ypperligt hjälpmedel för att se och förstå/analysera träffbilden för att kunna korrigera riktmedel eller laddningar m.m.
Saknar dock stöd för svartkruts skytten där två 10 ringade tavlor används samtidigt och 13 skott i samma serie som skjuts 5+5+3, kanske en önskan i framtiden.
