I can’t even get past the login screen. It repeatedly tells me my password and username are wrong over and over again. Even though it’s not, I reset my password 4 times, still says it’s wrong. You can’t even get into the app without doing a background check, which costs $25. The app assures you that you will make it back within your first job. So I paid it. Not only can you NOT search for jobs that need to be done, you have to wait for people to find you. I followed all the recommended instructions and added all my skills (which was a lot). Several weeks of no jobs so I contacted customer support to have my $25 decided since I did not, in fact, make the money back. They will not refund it. So you have an app that requires you to pay money to make money and then when you don’t make money they keep yours. I have pictures and video of my job over there working hard with respect client Jason in laurel Maryland but I’m going to my lawyer office to take ligal action closing my account with my work money. Task rabbit was lied to me saying they customer don’t update his payment info yet and customer show me his bill fully charged and paid. Task rabbit abandoned you and if you try to claim they salect you on chat as a garbage and no chat respond to you not recommend is fraud company and the most stupid thing is client think they have something guaranteed with this platform if you house suffer some damage task rabbit not respond in nothing is my insurance company who responded not task rabbit. Regardless of who cancels the job, it will have the same impact on your account, eventually getting you suspended. There are requests from clients with super unreasonable expectations, such as hoarders hiring for clean-up, I’m talking about floor to ceiling trashed homes. And the attitudes of the clients can vary drastically. I got hired by a retired DA who threatened to punch me in the mouth, while in her home. So, yes…TaskRabbit is a lot of work to do when it comes to INDEPENDENT WORKERS flexibility to choosing jobs without ACCOUNT IMPACT which is against Ca Labor law!!!! -- JEDDAH007, 2024-12-09 ### ***** "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️" I give 5 stars in my opinion compared to other apps in the market this is the best one right now to work as a handyman/furniture assembly etc. My only suggestion is that we as taskers need to have the option to combine categories of tasks while working on them so costumers don’t get confused. For example many times i get asked by the costumers to mount a tv but they hired me for furniture assembly. Basically if i had that option it will be really easy for the costumer to understand how the categories and different charges work. Stay away from this app! -- My iOS Reviews, 2024-12-02 ### *---- "Poorly ran platform" I worked Tasker jobs in 5 different markets over the last 3 years. I was deactivated in January after a single complaint from a disgruntled customer in Vegas, all of which was false. There wasn’t any proof what they said happened, and it was my first time being reported for anything like that. After 3 years, almost 100 tasks complete and 4.7 star rating, they ignored my track record, my completion rates, rating and my side. I wish there was something positive to say about Task Rabbit. But there isn’t. The platform allows customers to basically run the job. It allows the customers to fraudulently report things to blatantly get refunds, which is then kicked down to the Tasker as a fee or suspension or deactivation. There are customers who need a day or two of work, and they want it done in 2 hours. My only input are warnings for those wanting to join Task Rabbit to do Tasks: 1) don’t accept a job without over detailing the work, scope and time frame it’ll take with your customer IN CHAT. This is your “contract” and if you do not discuss things in chat, if anything goes wrong/is reported as “wrong”, you will be held at fault regardless of if you weren’t. 2) don’t get dropped off at the job by someone else. If anything goes wrong/ is reported as “wrong”, the first thing the customers can report to get a refund is that “the Tasker brought an unverified helper with them.” So no drop offs, no waiting for you in the car, and no helping you take your stuff to the customers door. Unless they are a Tasker, and approved in chat, you are solo. 3) there will customers you have a bad feeling about in any field. But on Task Rabbit gigs, don’t just listen to that feeling— act on it immediately and leave. I say this because there are a few accusations that these customers can make, regardless of their truth, that will get them a refund and get you deactivated immediately. All they have to do is say that you tried to accept payment off Tasker, that you brought someone unapproved to the job or that you made them feel unsafe. These customers are hard to identify but if you even have the hunch they’re swindlers or cheap or have had a number of bad run ins with contractors, run. In total, I’d say TaskRabbit violates a number of labor laws.
